I had high hopes
Revisado: 06-24-23
I intentionally chose this book to support Pride month. The storyline was far fetched and the writing wasn’t great, but I liked how supportive Anna was of Eden’s self discovery.

Captivating
Revisado: 06-14-23
This one has been on my TBR stack for awhile, and I’m glad I finally took it off. I enjoyed the twists and turns, and the character development. I never understand why people just don’t cooperate with law-enforcement, when this happens in books and on TV it drives me crazy, but then we wouldn’t have such a captivating story. I’ve seen so many characters make stupid mistakes, but Hannah did such a fantastic job for her family. The last line in the book might have been my favorite and it sealed the deal for how much I truly liked this one.

I enjoyed this mystery, more than I imagined because I went looking for spoilers and found a slew of bad reviews. The ending, oh that ending…Just when you think you have the answers, you find out MORE.

Historia
I’ve been in this life for fifty years, been trying to work out its riddle for forty-two, and been keeping diaries of clues to that riddle for the last thirty-five. Notes about successes and failures, joys and sorrows, things that made me marvel, and things that made me laugh out loud. How to be fair. How to have less stress. How to have fun. How to hurt people less. How to get hurt less. How to be a good man. How to have meaning in life. How to be more me. Recently, I worked up the courage to sit down with those diaries.

What?
Revisado: 05-28-23
I like his voice on the Calm app, so I gave this a try. I don’t worship celebrities or care much about tabloids, but I do enjoy a good story teller. The beginning was quite egotistic and his childhood is not something that should be bragged about; domestic violence, more violence, and a pissing contest about damn near everything. I found myself rolling my eyes constantly. He’s nuts.

Beautiful
Revisado: 05-18-23
This was a beautiful, (fanciful and inflective) novel about a very structured, focused, hard-working woman who experiences the result of a compounded stress life. I devoured this book so fast and really enjoyed it. Chloe was too overbearing and her obsessiveness with her mom’s health drove me nuts, but I understood why she became that way. Chloe, who is usually a very composed and contracted woman, has the gift of a lifetime from The Universe, a "Do-Over" after completely unraveling as a result of the high stress she puts on herself. There is also a sweet romance that develops, in the back ground. 4.5 stars!!

Ugh.
Revisado: 04-30-23
I really tried to like this, but I can’t into books where mistakes are made and instead of doing logical things the characters do really stupid things that make them look guiltier than they are. Christian is a moron and Nina is naive, yet these are the two points of view we get. The ending, was dumb.

Oh love, and what it does
Revisado: 04-27-23
I was sucked in immediately, but I’ve read this book before. Not this specific book, but I’ve read a couple books that follow a very similar plot line. Girl with a type personality meets boy with b type personality, they become friends, they try to be more than friends and mess it up, they awkwardly get back together and find out they belong together. This was written well and I really enjoyed it.

Wonderful
Revisado: 04-25-23
What a gem!! I enjoyed this sweet story. The character development, story telling, and fun mystery made for a great tale. Laurie drove me a little nuts, but I love that she knows what she wants and it’s not wrapped around what society says she has to want.

Historia
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

Revisado: 04-20-23
I’m not one to be overly fascinated with celebrities or royals, but this book kept popping up on lists and recommendations. I’m glad I gave it a listen. We all deserve to tell our story and hearing Prince Harry’s is eye opening. The lack of privacy and utter disregard for human decency he’s undergone from the press starting at such a young age is abhorrent. Shame on the royal family for not being more supportive.
