Detailed instructions enable you to understand and participate in the conversation. Each lesson contains practice for vocabulary introduced in previous lessons. The emphasis is on pronunciation and comprehension, and on learning to speak Croatian.

Many, many years ago I attended the defense language Institute, one of the top language schools in the world. 30 years later I’ve decided to to learn Croatian for an upcoming trip. So I found these Pimsleur lessons on audible. I have to say, I’m so incredibly impressed! I do a lot of driving so I pop on my AirPods and play this on my phone every single day in the car. It’s easy with AirPods because you can just click your AirPod to pause the recording while you’re thinking of a phrase, then click to play again. The way they teach is incredible. It’s all auditory, which is really effective. Also, they teach you how to pronounce words backwards which is brilliant! I am so pleased and have been zipping through all my lessons.
