Alan Alda is an incredible story teller. The subject is not a fictional story though. It is a fantastic look at how people relate, or don't, to each other through verbal and visual cues. Mr. Alda does an exceptional job explaining the material in a way that never makes you feel like you're learning something...there's no struggle. His wit is on full display.

Miles Meili has done Phil Ward a great service in narrating this book. The story is well connected and moved forward at a good pace. Miles filled in accents and demeanor of the characters very well. As a book unto itself the story does not build the characters up too much. However, this is a series and so the characters are build across multiple books.

I read the reviews indicating this book wasn't a practical book full of concrete steps to do the things talked about. I felt for every point that was made, the descriptions of what was happening and why, lead to the "how to". This was a good book for me.

This book popped up on a Buddhist Facebook page and the marketing babble read as if it was non-fiction. This book is overly adjective-strewn, toys in the attic, surely gone fishing, musings of fictional life experiences. I don't want to paint an unfair picture, but if you were expecting non-fiction, this is not the book to buy. If you want a whimsical fictional story, read other peoples review and decide whether you want it.
