Quality is impressive!!
Revisado: 01-08-22
The book is so well written and precisely dissected with how he wanted each story to play out.
The performance is really great and quite the show for how different characters have their own quirks for how they talk. Overall great book! Will he reading the other books too!

Historia
In December 1937, in the capital of China, one of the most brutal massacres in the long annals of wartime barbarity occurred. The Japanese army swept into the ancient city of Nanking and within weeks not only looted and burned the defenseless city but systematically raped, tortured and murdered more than 300,000 Chinese civilians. Amazingly, the story of this atrocity- one of the worst in world history- continues to be denied by the Japanese government.

Must Have
Revisado: 07-20-21
Anna Fields narration of this book is impressive, it truly makes this book feel like your listening to a documentary.
The story is straight up Raw History of things you’d never expect to hear especially John Rabe and how heroic his actions were even as a Nazi.
Overall this is one of the few books I’ve thoroughly enjoyed. It’s a must have. But fair warning, it’s not for everyone.

Historical
Revisado: 06-15-21
The historical impact of this book is significant and definitely something I’ll be going back to from time to time.
What a bizarre era for things that took place.
The narrator did a damn good job telling and reading the stories.
I’d recommend for anyone who appreciates history of compelling story telling

Historia
In this fascinating document, one of Japan's best known - and controversial - writers created what might be termed a new literary form. It is new because it combines elements of many existing types of writing, yet in the end, fits into none of them. The road Mishima took to salvation is a highly personal one. Yet here, ultimately, one detects the unmistakable tones of a self transcending the particular and attaining to a poetic vision of the universal.

SNOOZEFEST
Revisado: 04-17-21
Matthew Taylor absolutely butchered this. The entire book sounds like he was speaking into a bucket. Extremely hard to listen to and to focus on. I had to lay on the bed and do absolutely nothing and I still could not focus to what he was saying. This book is so boring I wanted to return it but then that would mean others would not know what were getting into when they used their credit on this book. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS AUDIBLE BOOK. I went so far as to order a print to order this book from Barnes and Nobles for 40 dollars to get a better experience of this book.
The story is so forgettable because of Matthew Taylor I have no recollection of what the book is about I just know the idea of it because of book reviews on YouTube.

Charlie Gordon knows that he isn't very bright. At 32, he mops floors in a bakery and earns just enough to get by. Three evenings a week, he studies at a center for mentally challenged adults. They hope the operation and special medication will increase his intelligence, just as it has for the laboratory mouse, Algernon.

Audible Worthy
Revisado: 01-23-21
This book was the one that got me first interested in even wanting Audible.
The story of Charlie is a very interesting and enthralling story, not that it keeps you on your toes the entire book. The development on the book is truly inspiring and the way the narrator, Jeff Woodman does his job performance is nothing short of perfection the way he voices Charlie, both minds. And his mother and sister and father and just about everyone. It’s incredible. This might be my favorite book ever. Such an inspiring book as well.

Historia
Portraying himself as a failure, the protagonist of Osamu Dazai's No Longer Human narrates a seemingly normal life, even while he feels himself incapable of understanding human beings. Oba Yozo's attempts to reconcile himself to the world around him begin in early childhood, continue through high school, where he becomes a "clown" to mask his alienation, and eventually lead to a failed suicide attempt as an adult. Without sentimentality, he records the casual cruelties of life and its fleeting moments of human connection and tenderness.

It’s an interesting store. Even if you are not a believer of God this novel is still yet intriguing.
The End of The Spear is filled with moments of laughter and sorrow while still all being captivating and enthralling. It’s definitely a must read.

Captivating and Enthralling story.
Revisado: 10-25-20
Narration is a little goofy to get used to but when moments get deep and intense it’s a easy look over and you just get swept up and listen. I found this novel easy to listen to while driving to work or playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons. I’ve been binging Halo lore and it’s finally amazing to hear it all straight from the source. Amazing story.
