Historia
For decades, The God Who Is There has been the landmark book that changed the way the church sees the world. In Francis Schaeffer's remarkable analysis, we learn where the clashing ideas about God, science, history, and art came from and where they are going. This edition includes a foreword by James W. Sire that places Schaeffer's seminal work in the context of the intellectual turbulence of the early 21st century.

If you have never had the opportunity to enjoy a book by someone who is trying to connect with the deeper issues our society faces and build into the life of the reader, than I highly recommend this book. It was very thought provoking and personal. It tried to answer questions that we can’t quite reason out, or believe there is no answer to,

Historia
Mary Lennox starts her life as an unhappy victim of circumstance. After the loss of her parents, she moves to rural Yorkshire to live with a distant uncle where she resents the wildness of the countryside. At first, she struggles to find a place in this new existence. Although unsure about her surroundings and its occupants, through the gentle guidance of the maid she gradually becomes interested in the story of Mrs Craven, who apparently used to spend her time in a garden at the house, the key to which has vanished.

The Joy of Secrets
Revisado: 06-09-22
I liked this book very much, it was a very easy listen and quite entertaining. It may not be a very complex book, but it gets across the important part of any story. It is simply this, that when life is hardest, it is often the simple things which bring us the greatest joy. The characters are reflections of one’s self in a lot of ways and I find myself as happy as they are about their secrets.
I would recommend this book to anyone who doesn’t mind listening to a simple story about what matters most in this world. Friendship, a simple garden, fresh air, and the joy of illness passing.
The only thing I struggled with slightly was the reader. I found that her voice didn’t always do justice to the scene I imagined, but this is purely my opinion and I still listened to the whole book so I wouldn’t say she did a bad job.

Historia
John Newton, Charles Simeon, and William Wilberforce suffered lifelong opposition and endured for the causes of gospel truth, missionary zeal, and political justice. They found, in solid doctrine and humble joy, the tough roots for habitual tenderness in response to their adversaries - without doctrinal or moral flinching. They are examples of remarkable grace. In the third book of the Swans Are Not Silent series, best-selling author John Piper looks at the lives of these three great men and how they not only endured great opposition but did so with joy and without bitterness.

The Great Lives of Men before us
Revisado: 03-20-22
This book is a wonderful biography of some of the greatest theological minds ever to walk this earth. Many of the stores shared here are inspirational and a push for the believer to never give up the faith that all these men had.
