Historia
Victoria Barnett has it all: a great career as a nurse practitioner, a handsome and loving husband, a beautiful home in the suburbs, and a plan to fill it with children. Life is perfect—or so it seems. Then she’s in a terrible accident...and everything falls apart. Now Victoria is unable to walk. She can’t feed or dress herself. She can’t even speak. She is confined to the top floor of her house with 24-hour care.

The Narrator ruined it for me
Revisado: 02-18-23
The odd monotone-whine of this narrator’s voice was so hard to listen to,m! Especially when she changed her voice for Vicky, she just made it more high-pitched with the same whiny monotone. This will be the first time I am noting the narrator down to screen all future audiobooks.
Now, the story was really good, and there were some twists I didn’t see coming (which is rare for me). If you can get passed the narrator’s voice, this book is worth a listen!!

Historia
It seems like the perfect job. Great wages, accommodation provided and all located within the walls of Highwood Hall, a stunning stately home owned by the Howard family. Not many little girls dream of becoming a maid, but this is an opportunity for me to get back on my feet. And for me to revisit my past....

Predictable
Revisado: 01-20-22
This is the first psychological thriller I’ve listened to that was predictable from the very beginning. The narrator was very good though.

Historia
You’ve heard of an Essex Girl or even a Chelsea Girl, but what about a Hounslow Girl? Definition of a Hounslow Girl: a young Muslim woman who wears hooped earrings with her headscarf and grapples with traditional values while hustling her way through urban London. The Diary of a Hounslow Girl is a bold and provocative one-person play, written and performed by Ambreen Razia. From the joys of traditional Pakistani weddings to fights on the night bus, this is a comic story of dreams, aspirations and coming of age, told through the eyes of a 16-year-old British Muslim girl.

Background sound effects made it hard to listen
Revisado: 12-14-18
There were sound effects in the background of the narrator and it made it hard to hear the narration while also almost annoying. The story was interesting and acting was very good!

Historia
It's been three months since the Winterians were freed and Spring's king, Angra, disappeared - thanks largely to the help of Cordell. Meira just wants her people to be safe. When Cordellan debt forces the Winterians to dig their mines for payment, they unearth something powerful and possibly dangerous: Primoria's lost chasm of magic. Theron sees this find as an opportunity - with this much magic, the world can finally stand against threats like Angra.

Couldn’t even finish it.... so boring
Revisado: 07-20-18
The narrator made Meira seem whiny and the story itself is predictable and way boring. I started book 2 to give it a chance, but I’m done suffering through it.
