Historia
This is the perfect study guide to the complete works of Shakespeare, covering everything from the romantic comedy of Romeo and Juliet to the tragedy Macbeth, alongside his Elizabethan history plays, sonnets, and other poems. With detailed plot summaries and an in-depth analysis of the major characters and themes, this is a brilliant, innovative exploration of the entire canon of Shakespeare plays, sonnets, and poetry, from the comedies of Twelfth Night and As You Like It to the tragedies of Julius Caesar and Hamlet.

Fairly dry stuff
Revisado: 03-30-25
The book is constructed in such a way that, when listening to it, one feels there is quite a bit of repetition. Also, it seemed that the more famous plays got, by far, the more detailed and interesting synopses.

They’re all here!

Excellent stories, not a masterful reading, but pretty darn good. I’m interested in trying Steven Fry‘s version.

Historia
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

Surprisingly engaging and mind changing.

Prince Harry comes off as deeply human and doing his best to navigate a very complex world. I’m quite glad that I listened to this.

Historia
Ulysses is regarded by many as the single most important novel of the 20th century. It tells the story of one day in Dublin, June 16th 1904, largely through the eyes of Stephen Dedalus (Joyce's alter ego from Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man) and Leopold Bloom, an advertising salesman. Both begin a normal day, and both set off on a journey around the streets of Dublin, which eventually brings them into contact with one another.

Superb reading of a timeless classic
Revisado: 11-09-22
This is as good a version as we are ever likely to have. The readers bring it to life with great understanding of the complex text. Well done!

Terribly read, some mistakes, amateur
Revisado: 03-07-18
It is hard for me to imagine why someone who works for a company that offers services to produce Audiobooks would release an audiobook of his own which immediately gives the impression that the person speaking has difficulty reading. It was also surprising to hear verbal mistakes that should have been caught and edited out.
For all this book’s focus on meeting the standards of audible.com, I am surprised that Audible accepted and released this audiobook.
