Historia
Steven Rinella won a lottery to hunt for a wild buffalo in the Alaskan wilderness. One of only four hunters that year who succeeded in killing a buffalo, he carried the carcass down a snow-covered mountainside and floated it four miles down a white-water canyon while being trailed by grizzly bears and suffering from hypothermia. Rinella found himself contemplating his own place among the 14,000 years' worth of buffalo hunters in North America and the place of the buffalo in the American consciousness.

might return this now knowing Rinella narrated a new version
Revisado: 11-21-19
Didn’t like the narration. Story is great but do yourself a favor and get the new version with Rinella’s narration. You’ll save yourself the trouble of internally actively translating the narration to his cadence and delivery style.

Historia
Whitetail Nation is the uproarious story of the season Pete Bodo set out to kill the big buck. From the rolling hills of upstate New York to the vast and unforgiving land of the Big Sky to the Texas ranches that feature high fences, deer feeders, and money-back guarantees, Bodo traverses deep into the heart of a lively, growing subculture that draws powerfully on durable American values: the love of the frontier, the importance of self-reliance, the camaraderie of men in adventure, the quest for sustained youth, and, yes, the capitalist’s right to amass every high-tech hunting gadget.

I wish it were twice as long. Or had a follow up book.
Loved the educational bits between the hunting stories. Love the realism of the experience. Great hunting.

Great Ideas, Great Performance -- want more
Revisado: 04-13-18
Would you consider the audio edition of The War of Art to be better than the print version?
I have not experienced the print version, however, the audio edition is fantastic.
What other book might you compare The War of Art to and why?
I'm not sure I've read a book like this one before, at least not on this subject. No comparison.
Which scene was your favorite?
I enjoyed the discussions about the muses and identifying the differences between amateurs and professionals.
What insight do you think you’ll apply from The War of Art?
Resistance is the enemy. Daily prayer to the muses.
Any additional comments?
I wish the author had gone more in depth with some of his ideas, otherwise a very solid book for creatives.
