Historia
Felix Nevarre, slayer of the Ravager King and destroyer of Domains, isn't going down without a fight. The Guild Tower has fallen, and Haarwatch has been split into factions vying for supremacy, and the people despair as monsters overrun the city. Bloody battle is waged through the streets, but Felix’s power has grown—his core stuffed full with the spoils of his victory—and he's looking to put it to use. When the Inquisition advances its grip on the city and waves of monsters attack, he pushes back.

quest progress doesn't matter
Revisado: 01-28-25
Without giving too much away, it doesn't matter how much someone contributes in the quest progress. In a lit RPG this bothered me to no end. why even bother putting it in the story at all when the outcome is preordained by where the plot needs to go. This is just my personal opinion

Historia
An existence spent being forced to kill others to satiate a Monster. Where the only thing to look forward to was the blessed, if brief, period of time between paying that bribe. Except that very same Monster is and isn’t Rene. It just happened to live inside his own mind and force him to do what it wanted. Rather than being an actual Monster. That was Rene’s entire life until a fateful day changed that. A day that the career as a hitman for hire built on the Monster’s needs will end. Where Rene will be forced to atone for his actions. To be held accountable and judged.

Revisado: 06-15-20
Isekai Fantasy Novel with Harem Elements. if that sentence seems like a good time read/listen to this book. The voice actress is amazing and I would have given her more Stars if I could.

Historia
Gryff never knew he was the most powerful summoner in the world until a rogue monster attacked his village. Now he's been recruited into the top magical academy, beautiful women are breaking down his dorm-room door, and the headmaster has big, big plans for him. Instead of summoners being maligned by society, Gryff is in a position to make them revered and honored.

An interesting concept that lacks Focus
Revisado: 03-05-20
I am a sucker for the over powered character that has to prove themselves to the rest of the world. This is why I gave the book three stars. However I did at times struggle to complete the book as it's direction, character evolution, and interpersonal relationships lacked focus and proper explanation at times.

Historia
In a world full of super powers, Felix has a pretty crappy one. He has the ability to modify any item he owns. To upgrade anything. Sounds great on paper. Almost like a video game. Except that the amount of power it takes to actually change, modify, or upgrade anything worthwhile is beyond his abilities. With that in mind, Felix settled into a normal life. A normal job. His entire world changes when the city he lives in is taken over by a super villain. Becoming a country of one city. A city state.

More base base/guild building than harem romance
Revisado: 12-28-18
This is a fantastic story that's more litrpg than harem. Most of the harem romance is saved until the last 1/4 of the book. While it does reference sexual encounters it does not describe or lament on them. It's a nerds fantasy of collecting and upgrading ones army/base. The main characters power is unique one that I can't wait to see explored more.

A treat for the mind and ears
Revisado: 10-24-18
The story was full of interesting concepts that made me question mine and societies worth. The narrator did a fantastic job of playing a huge range of characters and emotions.

Tim and his friends find out the hard way that you shouldn't question the game master, and you shouldn't make fun of his cape. One minute, they're drinking away the dreariness of their lives, escaping into a fantasy game and laughing their asses off. The next minute, they're in a horse-drawn cart surrounded by soldiers pointing crossbows at them.

Fan fiction that could have been so much more
Revisado: 10-17-18
The premise of this book had so much potential, but falls flat in the execution. The story was filled with cliche after cliche, and had an abundance of shit/puke/dick jokes. The narrator had some great range, but would then make the bizarre choices for other characters that were an assault on my ears.

High Concepts
Revisado: 09-18-18
An interesting story that touches on some high end concepts. Although it was written in the 70's and is somewhat dated (a few cliches here and there) it still ends up a fun and unique tale.

More Greatness!!
Revisado: 09-05-18
If you love the first book, it will continue to be reciprocated with the sequel. While the second one feels like it offers less action than the first it still provides plenty of entertainment value. This book is clearly building the setting for an ultimate conflict for the next book. However it has plenty of substance to keep the reader interested. I would relate this to Mass Effect 2, plenty of insight into the world and development of character backgrounds. Ultimately if you enjoyed the first book and are a fan of RPG's DON'T MISS THIS BOOK!!!

Historia
Jason logs into Awaken Online fed-up with reality. He's in desperate need of an escape, and this game is his ticket to finally feeling the type of power and freedom that are so sorely lacking in his real life. Awaken Online is a brand new virtual reality game that just hit the market, promising an unprecedented level of immersion. Yet Jason quickly finds himself pushed down a path he didn't expect. In this game, he isn't the hero. There are no damsels to save. There are no bad guys to vanquish.

Everything is Awesome
Revisado: 08-24-18
I struggle to find faults with this work. not because there aren't any, but rather that the story and structure of this novel are so enthralling that I stopped paying attention to those defects after the first few chapters. I must be upfront and acknowledge that I am a gamer and this book feels like it was written by someone with the same passion. I can't tell you if you will enjoy the book without a similar background. I can tell you that it felt like I was listening to a game guide for the best video to ever be created. I will not put any spoilers here, but I will say that the main character feels like a protagonist from a high school movie (bullied and downtrodden) who finds a video game where he can be the version of Kirito from SAO ("Sword Art online") that wants the powers of a Rouge-Sith-Necromancer.....all of it is just Awesome.

Cool Sci-fi, dated book!
Revisado: 08-18-18
It's a very entertaining Sci-fi story with a very unique concept. The Sci-fi aspects are some of the best around. Please keep in mind this was written in the 70's and therefore things like tapes and tube TV's seem out of place in the "future". However, the themes are extremely dated. This provides a somewhat distasteful, albeit interesting, window into the past. (***MINOR NON-STORY SPOILERS TO FOLLOW, DO NOT READ FURTHER! THE FOLLOWING SECTION IS TO PREPARE A READER FOR WHAT THEY MAY FIND IN THIS BOOK***)The protagonist sleeps with every female character that has a speaking role (except one), LGBT characters are referred to with disdain and often called "The Gays", and there is domestic violence with no repercussions whatsoever. If you can get past these types of things you will enjoy the Sci-fi narrative the book has to offer.
