Historia
Who - or what - was the real love of Freddie Mercury's life? Millions of Queen and screen fans who watched the Oscar-winning film Bohemian Rhapsody believe that Mary Austin, the woman he could never quite let go of, was the love of Freddie Mercury's life. But the truth is infinitely more complicated. Best-selling biographer and music writer Lesley-Ann Jones explores the charismatic frontman's romantic encounters and reveals why none of his love interests ever perfected the art of being Freddie's life partner.

The Loves of Freddie

i enjoyed the book and the interesting updates found by the author since writing her last book about Freddie in 2011. when i first started the book i was happy to hear Lesley Ann Jones relaxing voice narrating, I'm a big fan of books narrated by the author, but after the first chapter was shuddered to hear narration from someone who reminded me of a college professor and was also slightly annoyed by the mispronunciation of what should be well known names (Izlee brothers?...) it would have been a 100 percent from me had Lesley or someone with a similar voice narrated it.

Historia
Fleetwood Mac's classic 1977 Rumours album topped the Billboard 200 for 31 weeks and won the Album of the Year Grammy. More recently, Rolling Stone named it the 25th greatest album of all time and the hit TV series Glee devoted an entire episode to songs from Rumours, introducing it to a new generation. Now, for the first time, Ken Caillat, the album's co-producer, tells the full story of what really went into making Rumours.

In the studio with Ken Cailett
Revisado: 02-28-21
Another great read by Ken Cailett about working with The Mac, while the story is full of entertaining info about the behind the scenes and for the techophiles like myself all kinds of tech stuff mentioned, the narrator was awful! Firstly, the book is written by a man and it's being read by a woman, which wouldn't be so jarring except for her delivery. she sounds like a professor in a college, the narration is very dull and she doesn't have the ability to act out the characters in the story, just simply using her voice for all characters which sometimes makes it hard to follow. the enteraining thing about the previous "making of rumours" book was the delivery by Fred Berman who did a great job of acting out each character, almost to the exact voicing of each band member! this audiobook would have been orders of magnitude better if Mr. Berman would have narrated it.
