Historia
Are you too nice? If you find it hard to be assertive, directly ask for what you want, or say "no" to others, then you just might be suffering from too much niceness. In this controversial book, world-renowned confidence expert, Dr. Aziz Gazipura, takes an incisive look at the concept of nice. Through his typical style, Dr. Aziz uses engaging stories, humor, and disarming vulnerability to cut through the nice conditioning and liberate the most bold, expressive, authentic version of you.

I really enjoyed listening to this book, it has a way of answering questions that come up as you are listening to the chapters. I found it really clear and helpful with actionable steps on things that can be done to approach social situations, work relations, and how we think about ourselves in a practical way. I I feel I will most likely order the paper copy so that I can try some of the activities covered in the book.

Good information, but lost me towards the end
Revisado: 09-01-20
This book helps to define eating disorders and an approach to changing eating disorder behaviors. It was mostly helpful but did get a little "diet-y" towards the end.

Historia
Sixty-eight percent of Americans have dieted at some point in their lives. But upwards of 90 percent of people who intentionally lose weight gain it back within five years. And as many as 66 percent of people who embark on weight-loss efforts end up gaining more weight than they lost. If dieting is so clearly ineffective, why are we so obsessed with it? The culprit is diet culture, a system of beliefs that equates thinness to health and moral virtue, promotes weight loss as a means of attaining higher status, and demonizes certain ways of eating while elevating others.
