Historia
The latest from the author of When the Wind Blows and Kiss the Girls reveals Patterson at the peak of his power and is easily his most dynamic and compelling psychological thriller to date. Here is a chilling villain, a love story of great tenderness, and a plot of relentless suspense and heart-pounding pace.

Loved the story, despite some minor discrepancies

Where does Pop Goes the Weasel rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Its definitely higher ranking than a lot of others, especially by James Patterson, I did like the idea of the storyline, however some parts I find not only far fetched but plain unbelievable. Mainly the part about Alex Cross's fiancée, it doesn't give to the plot it takes away from it, which is sad, cos the main storyline is so good, even great one might say
What other book might you compare Pop Goes the Weasel to and why?
I do not have any comparison in mind, James Patterson has a very unique way of writing although his books sometimes are fairly similar to one another at times, that is not true for this book, thank you very much.
Which character – as performed by Keith David and Roger Rees – was your favorite?
Geoffrey Shaffer is brilliantly written and very nicely thought out, I tremendously enjoyed him as the books antagonist
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
no I did not, I enjoyed it, there have been better books but this one was great anyway

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
I think it was Oscar Wilde who said the famous words, if one cannot enjoy reading a book over and over again, whats the point in reading it at all. That is so true for this book, the book is so far fetched and insignificant I could barely remember the plot to write this review, it seems like James Patterson tapped into previously written books just to pop out yet another book from his well oiled book making machine. No doubt James Patterson has written some truly great books, this one however is not one of them, it was a waste of my money and I will never listen to it or read it ever again
Would you ever listen to anything by James Patterson again?
Yes I would, just not this one
What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
The narration was great as usual from those two and made the book more interesting for about two seconds until even they had to succumb to the horrible writing and outrageously boring storyline.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Cat and Mouse?
all of them, I would not have published that book.

Historia
A killer is at work in the nation's capital, and he seems to like variety. His victims range from kindergarten students to senators - not even the President is safe. Alex Cross, hero of Along Came a Spider and Kiss the Girls, is awakened one night to confront the brutal murder of a little girl only blocks away from his house. With a single clue, a mysterious rhyme signed "Jack and Jill", the skilled and courageous Cross sets out to track the murderer.

horrible narration, boring book
Revisado: 02-14-18
What did you like best about Jack and Jill? What did you like least?
I was not impressed with the story, its the all too familiar CIA conspiracy story, told so so many times in numerous American TV shows and movies. I think I've heard that story so many times that my entire perception of the Alphabet-Agencies surrounds these stupid conspiracies. Here is the question though, do these really exist or is it just the media making us think that way? So me, living in Europe and having a total different view on life in and outside of America am not impressed by this repetitive story telling.
Would you be willing to try another book from James Patterson? Why or why not?
I read almost all of James Pattersons entire bibliography and find his writing at times a little un imaginative and lazy, but what can one expect from an author that publishes 20 books a year at times? He's good, but seems not very deeply involved with his own story, like for instance Stephen King does.
Would you listen to another book narrated by Blair Underwood and John Rubinstein ?
Never, horrible narration!!!!
Do you think Jack and Jill needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
I do not think it needs a follow up, every person with half a brain can imagine how it would continue, therefore taking away any and all excitement

Decent Story, but not as good as her earlier works
Revisado: 02-11-18
What did you like best about I Know a Secret? What did you like least?
Without spoiling the story I have to say that I was not very surprised by the ending. And I find the story was only able to drag on for so long due to obvious bad detective work. Obvious clues were missed by Detective Rizzoli, which seemed odd and this is the reason why it took so long to find the killer.
