I liked this for what it is - the 18th book in a series that I really love. Is it fantastic? No. But the author has kind of pushed the boundaries so far in his universe there isn't much place for him to go. When looking at it that way the main character/big bad makes sense.

I really enjoy this series. Even when it is ridiculous. John Conroe and Chris and Declan and Stacia and Tanya - you can have my book credit anytime.

Fascinating story. Great narrator as always. Written in 1959. Would love to know how many movies this book inspired - 1 movie comes to mind that is pretty obvious.

I did not know Zachary Quinto was funny! I thought he was calm and sedate like his Spock. This story was so fun - irreverent, clever, and funny. There is quite a bit of swearing so know that. The audio effects were astounding in this performance - 2x while out for my walk I was startled realizing the noises that spooked me were from my audiobook and not the real world around me. All the actors were fantastic. I would love another match up with Zachary and Michelle Buteau.

I swear I don't like sci-fi books that are soooo sci-fi. But this series is just super fun and laid back and great to listen to when life is not fun. Loved this book even more than the first.

Love the story and narrator

I seem to like the John Scalzi books that take place on earth. This is a great story with a great hook. And now Zachary Quinto is my favorite narrator. Reminds me of Bronson Pinchot in that every voice he narrates is unique. Highly recommend this series.

This was sci-fi for folks who don't like it. Regular guy who swears a lot and has a lousy job goes on an adventure. Love narrator's voice who is also author.

If you have listened to the Iron Druid series you already know how great Oberon is. And now he is the narrator. I haven't giggled so much in months. Loved it. Trying to figure out if my 8 and 12 year old nephews can listen to it.

Perfect length to quell the moans of a 1 hour car trip. all enjoyed. Narrator is of course perfection.

I love this series. Right mix of serious mystery plot line with wonderful self deprecating humor. I find myself laughing while listening on the bus and wonder what folks think of me.

I love Bronson Pinchot as the narrator. Not a book for those who like cozy mysteries but if you like quirkiness with your macabre story lines then this is for you.
