Of the millions of men, women, and children transported from Africa to America as slaves, Cudjo was then the only person alive to tell the story of this integral part of the nation's history. Hurston was there to record Cudjo's firsthand account of the raid that led to his capture and bondage 50 years after the Atlantic slave trade was outlawed in the United States. In 1931, Hurston returned to Plateau, the African-centric community three miles from Mobile.

I appreciated the more truthful explanttion of Africa's part in the slave trade from a true witness.
This is another outstanding book by Zora Hurston. It is a must read for all seeking a true understanding and vision of
Ametica’s past history that has carried over into the present day.

Another excellent audio by Mark! Perfect for beginners.

I love the way Mark breaks everything down and then has you build on it to immediate fluency. I also like the way he summarizes each section of learning to reenforce it.
The speed at which the speakers speak is a great change from the slow redundant audios which can make you loose interest.
I only wish that he included a printable copy for us visual-audio learners.
I highly recommend this audio.
