Historia
It’s been ten years since Priscilla and her Zeta Phi Zeta sorority sisters graduated college. Ten years since they were all in the same room together. Ten years since one of them died. And now Lupé’s killer has been released from prison on a technicality, days before their ten-year reunion. Priscilla decides that the party must go on; Lupé would have wanted it to. And besides, an epic reunion bash might be the perfect distraction. Back together, the Zetas party like it’s 2012, and it’s wild, just the way it used to be. Maybe too wild.

Decent read but the end was rushed.

The story setup for this really interesting suspect for what happened years ago. But then it did this ‘twist’ that didn’t really land. It was an unsatisfying ending. Otherwise, I loved the characters and everyone’s friendship.

Historia
Six strangers arrive at the home of preeminent puzzle master Alexei Vasiliev for the reading of his will. Among them are the deceased's widow, who'd already begun divorce proceedings, a virologist troubled by actions in his past, and a convicted murderer on day release. The potential beneficiaries will split Vasiliev's $150M fortune if they participate in his last great work. The choice is simple: leave the house with nothing or continue in the hope of solving the six interconnecting escape rooms within this house.

I was really into the book until the end. Up until the last few minutes, it was a suspenseful read. And then it took an unnecessary turn.

It’s so fun to learn about sports through two funny guys. I don’t watch sports or care about sports to any degree but I love listening to these two explain sports. Makes sports a little more interesting.

I really enjoy hearing about how things are going before the show. It’s so sweet. And I love how well-researched the cases are.

I listened from newest to oldest and I finally got to the end and I’m sooo disappointed! I love listening to this podcast! I don’t want it to end!! I had so much fun listening to the husband’s reactions! They’re both so funny.
I’ll have to wait until next week…

Historia
The moon smells like gunpowder. Every lunar walker since Apollo 11 has noticed it: a burnt-metal scent that reminds them of war. Caden Dechert, the chief of the US mining operation on the edge of the Sea of Serenity, thinks the smell is just a trick of the mind - a reminder of his harrowing days as a marine in the war-torn Middle East back on Earth. It's 2072, and lunar helium-3 mining is powering the fusion reactors that are bringing Earth back from environmental disaster.

Not what I thought
Revisado: 01-02-23
I like reading about people living in space and I was so excited to read about a murder in space. But it’s not about space much at all. It’s a spy thriller with a space skin. That said, it was an okay read. I finished it. And some things were interesting. But it wasn’t anything fantastic.

As the weather turns deadly, Felix discovers that his terrified fiancée isn't just mumbling in her sleep—she's whispering back.

The pacing was well done. I was hooked from the first page. While I first started reading, I was scared in my bed, hiding under the covers. I love a read like that.
After the initial fear, I was drawn into the story and then I had to know how it would end.

Historia
Few serial killers in history have garnered as much attention as Jeffrey Lionel Dahmer. Although Dahmer killed 17 young men and boys, it was not so much the number of people he killed that makes him stand out among famous serial killers, but more so the acts of depravity that he committed on the corpses of his victims. In this true crime story, you will listen to how Dahmer transitioned from a loner to serial killer, committing numerous unnatural acts along the way such as necrophilia and cannibalism.

A decent, concise account.
Revisado: 03-18-22
Keyword ‘concise’. I’ve listened to podcasts that are only an hour long that hold more details than this book. There were some key details missing that I feel build up the terror surrounding this murderer’s life. That said, it was a good general look at the serial killer.

If it’s navel-gazing you’re after, you’ve come to the wrong place; ditto treacly self-examination. Rather, his observations turn outward: a fight between two men on a bus, a fight between two men on the street, pedestrians being whacked over the head or gathering to watch as a man considers leaping to his death. There’s a dirty joke shared at a book signing, then a dirtier one told at a dinner party - lots of jokes here. Plenty of laughs.

I enjoy both narrators.
Revisado: 10-07-21
I’m only 3 hours in but I have to say, I really enjoy Tracey’s parts. Of course, I love David Sedaris and I understand where negative reviewers are coming from. But I think David’s reasons for wanting another narrator are not only funny but valid. I don’t think it should put people off that there is another narrator.
For one thing, she’s excellent at accents, as Sedaris lists as one of his reasons for having her narrate. For another thing, her voice is soothing. I would love to hear her read more books. I would say this book is as enjoyable as his previous diary entries and people should give it a chance before rejecting outright because of a second narrator.
