Big Daniel Silva fan. Have all of his books and have listened to all of them on Audible. Usually his narrators are top notch but this one made every woman sound screechy and annoyed like a petulant child. Clearly this is what this narrator thinks all women sound like. Women deserve to have a better, nuanced representation equal to the male characters in the story. Really turned me off from the whole story which is unfortunate because Silva’s work is excellent.

In the style of Miss Marple, a rambunctious adventure. Silly fun and a guilty pleasure.

In the tradition of Miss Marple, it’s another great tale by Dorothy Gilman with excellent narration by Barbara Rosenblat who switches voices so cleanly, there is no need to describe who is talking. Highly recommended!

Amazing how simple the story is considering it’s passed into the annals of history and is the basis for so many other tales, including “Nighmare Before Christmas” and others. Fantastic, gripping audio read. Highly recommend.

Can’t say enough about this incredible book and the teachings of a Michael A. Singer. Clear direction for those who need it, clear explanation. Not proselytizing. Just true spiritual work. Thank you so much for this gift.

For fans of Alon, this was a lot of fun. Wonderfully detailed and well-researched. The explanation in the end was equal in excitement to the novel.

Written as a murder mystery by someone who clearly hates women. Puritanical, evangelical misogyny. All female characters are caricatures of what a real flesh and blood woman acts like and thinks. All are either vipers or helplessly in need protection. No doubt the misogynistic chauvinist main murder subject is an attempt at self-analysis.

While as a big Harry Potter fan I was eager to learn all of the inside scoop on the movie and the books, the numerous technical and pronunciation errors were distracting. The author numbers his information, as promised, however he does not seem to have edited his production. On at least three occasions, the information is repeated several numbers at a time so that the listeners are left wondering if they misheard or if there’s a technical issue with their equipment. He mispronounces character names and words in general (e.g., lists that Maggie Smith went through something called “radio therapy” rather than radiation for cancer). Other audio seems looped (or added in later) with different volume, intonation, etc. Overall technical aspect is fairly distracting even if the info is interesting to real fans.
