odd ending

The ending of Season 2 felt more off kilter than how Season 1 ended. I'm still invested and I hope Darcy returns to herself in Season 3.

The storyline is great and kept my interest. I'll be listening to the next one immediately. The cast performance was great along with all background sounds and music. Like listening to a movie.

Nora Roberts at her best

I absolutely loved this book. The narrator did a great job with all the different voices and accents. Normally, I am not a fan of going back and forth in time in chapters but it works in this story. It does end in a cliffhanger which is not something I enjoy but again it works. I don't know how I will wait until the next installment.

Love the story, not the narration

I love this story. I've read the book multiple times. I was excited to use a credit on the audio version. HUGE mistake. I'm sure this narrator is lovely, but she was not suited for this story. the characters are 35 and 41. Both sounded much younger with this narration. Tack almost had a 20 something east coast sound. It was ugh.

Quirky, light-hearted romance

This is shorter than my usual listens, but they hit it out of the park with this one. The characters are quirky (even Jule with his romeos) and the narrators embraced the quirks and brought them to life. The story may be more light hearted and humorous, but it keeps your interest and attention. I only wish there was an epilogue or additional chapter at the end. Highly recommend you listen this one.

great start to a new series

This is my first listen (or read) by Kit Rocha. They had me at mercenary librarians. The plot kept my attention with a couple of interesting twists. The driving force is really the characters and their enhanced abilities. They all have different skills and, more importantly, different back stories that come into play.

While this book focused on two characters, I appreciated some chapters from the perspective of other characters. it helped build personalities in my mind. The narration was good, but I felt like there was less differentiation between the male characters than the female characters.

great listen & good story

I had taken a break from New Adult for a while, but I always enjoy CD Reiss so I thought I'd listen to this one. The narrators did a great job in that they kept my attention on the story. This was a good celebrity romance with more reality brought in than I usually find in New Adult. It made for an unexpected surprise.

A favorite classic historical romance

Julie Garwood's historical romance's are some of my favorite rereads with The Bride being at the top. The narration was not my favorite, but the story kept me entertained as usual.
