Historia
All My Knotted-Up Life is a beautifully crafted portrait of resilience and survival, a poignant reminder of God’s enduring faithfulness, and proof positive that if we ever truly took the time to hear people’s full stories . . . we’d all walk around slack-jawed.

Wow! Just wow
Revisado: 08-21-23
I was so pleasantly surprised by this boom and the use of her vernacular. She has such a wonderful, demonstrative way with words. I was so touched by her pain in her childhood. And I’m so sad how the church treated her in recent years. God bless you, Beth more! I love this book and the raw honesty..

This was fascinating to hear an eyewitness account. I must make a trip to the Sixth floor museum and see her film!

Loved it!
Revisado: 02-19-23
It was so validating! I finally felt like I was not crazy and someone knew how I felt! I realized that some things that I do were related to being ADHD and I never knew it. Loved the book!

Historia
Jennette McCurdy was six years old when she had her first acting audition. Her mother’s dream was for her only daughter to become a star, and Jennette would do anything to make her mother happy. So she went along with what Mom called “calorie restriction." She endured extensive at-home makeovers while Mom chided, “Your eyelashes are invisible, okay? You think Dakota Fanning doesn’t tint hers?” She was even showered by Mom until age sixteen while sharing her diaries, email, and all her income. In I’m Glad My Mom Died, Jennette recounts all this in unflinching detail.

So intense
Revisado: 11-20-22
So intense. I had to slow the speed down because she talks so fast and I enjoyed it much better. I need to go watch a Hallmark movie now I’m so stressed!
But it was so good. Kudos to her for being so brave and honest. I’m sure it was cathartic. Bravo. I lost it when she choked up and took a breathe.😘😘💕

Inspiring!
Revisado: 07-05-19
Encouraging life lessons and a great inspiration! I told my husband 3 times while I was listening that HE needs to listen to it. That there is more for us in our future!
