Answered a lot of questions of why my parents disciplined the way they had. It shows the culture of the Catholic church and how the times effected a lot of people. The strength is to ensure future generations see the problem for what it was and ensure the children are brought up in a safe, loving and nurturing environment where the child can flourish and be highly educated to their desired future. Thanks Kim for writing, what I know, must have been the hardest book to complete of your lifetime. Good luck in all that you do. Ps I also loved your book ' The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek. I loved this book; the words and narration flowed beautifully. With the added bonus of knowledge thrown in. Definitely worth every star.

I read a lot and my usual rating if I would tell anyone for a realy good book is 8 out of 10. But this book surpassed that. If you only have time or money to by one book this year; I would highly recommend 'Dead I Well May Be'. Adrian McKinty now has a new fan. Thanks Adrian for applying all of your skills into writing this book. Now to look for his next book. Cheers Kaye 🤗

Good. But skip chapters 9 & 10

Some good information sprinkled into general knowledge. Although I am not religious, I will still accept other people have a lot different spiritual views than I. But chapters 9 & 10 was more of a serman and push of the writers religious views. 3 stars as there is not enough value in this book to recommend it to people I know. Although it may speak out to some. Also a big congratulations to Cheri Fuller on taking the time to write the book. Something I and a lot of others have never accomplished. Cheers :)

Short snips of over 100 artist committment styles

Unusual, I don't think there is another book like it. There is around 160 artist; poets, writers, painters, etc. Mason Currey writes only 1 to 2 paragraphs giving a quick explanation of who they are, what they are known for and how they accomplished there works of art. If you are looking for something in depth, this is not the book. But it will allow you to understand there is no set rule to making it; but persistence is key and to beware of the sirens that will call you away from your work.

Hef's Problem

An interesting view point of a relationship gone bad. Although it was never mentioned; the Hefner house seemed more like a cult situation rather than a true relationship. I can understand the turmoil that must always be shadowing Holly and the fear of being isolated by not only her past but the fear of no true happy ever after.
It takes a lot of guts to talk against an American icon and men's bunny fantasies. I believe that what she wrote is true to her. I am certain that a life as she describes would make her feel a victim. It is now up to Holly to grow from this experience and realize we all make our own choices in our life and what we learn will make us stronger.
Good luck Holly, I wish you all the best in the future, your experience will help protect your little girl from taking the same steps.
