I’m going to finish but the male narrator is killing me.

The male narrator sounds like a flamboyantly gay, stage actor on the male characters. It’s very off putting and doesn’t match the character descriptions at all. He sounds like he’s imitating the old Snagglepuss cartoon character!
If you can overlook that, it IS a great story. Plus it’s the whole trilogy for 1 credit so I’ll keep listening and chuckling whenever one of these manly, rough characters sounds like they’re wearing a pink boa.

Dialogue was annoying

Oh my gosh! The h’s favorite word was an exasperated “What!?” The book could’ve been shorter if they didn’t interrupt one another constantly and repeat one another’s words. Ugh! I loved the actual story but the dialogue style just irritated me so much.
Ex. h-“I just think…
H-“You think what?”
h-“I think the sky is blue”
H-“You think the sky is blue.
h-“Yes, Yes. The sky is blue.
Not actually dialogue but it got to be so ridiculous. I almost didn’t finish.

Completely lost me when MC does his woke spiel about whitewashed history then tells his students how terrible America is. I read and listen to get away from political division.

This is my first book from this author. I’m now headed to find all of her work to read. It was such a breath of fresh air. I could picture the hotel and staff. Looking forward to more books by this author. You know a book is good when you’re sad that it ends!

Loved the story

Loved the story. 2 character’s voices were screechy and nerve wracking. I also HATED the lyrics. They were way too long. I will look for more books by this author. I really enjoyed the story line. The voices didn’t detract too much from the story.

Loved the story. Wasn’t thrilled with the male narrator. His voice didn’t match the character for me. He sounded too old. Savannah is my favorite she does a great job with all of her characters.

Good story

I liked the story. Savannah Peachwood is the best. Thought the story ended rather abruptly. The “conflict” was rather mundane and anticlimactic. This is only my second Tijan read. LOVED Enemies and seem to be drawn to the college football romance stories.

I loved both characters! I read a few reviews that some didn’t like the narrators but I was so lost in the story I didn’t mind a bit. I finished listening in a day. Stayed up all night to finish. I’ve read this out of order so now I want to read Sparrow and also try to figure out how I missed Hunter in the other stories.

My heart!

I got a little upset with Charm a few times for her saying he didn’t tell her how he felt. In chapter 21 he told her exactly how he felt in the class notes. So infuriating, but I suppose women do tend to be illogical at times! I just about had a heart attack in Indianapolis. The ending wraps it all up and I’m left satisfied. This one is my favorite of the 3 in this series.
