Better than most of the paid programs

If you are a fast learner and don't need someone to hold your hand and make sure you repeat everything enough times, this is the program for you. So many diverse conversations and fun to listen to. You will learn a lot. But keep in mind that this is for people who really want to learn Italian - not just for tourism. And if course, don't make this your only source. Use apps, textbooks and other audio like Pimsleur. Also watch shows and movies in Italian and take lessons over video chat on Preply.

Disclaimer: I strongly disagree with Audible forcing people to leave written reviews in order to be able to rate a book. I am not a literary expert and my opinion as a stranger online is worthless. However, I am being forced for some strange reason, so I'll say as little as I can. This reads to me like fan fiction for teenagers with a Beauty and the Beast fetish. It's hard to actually care about any of the characters - you only get to know them in really superficial ways. The "love" between the main characters is nothing more than sexual chemistry. The writing is overly descriptive - trying to be a "good writer" while forgetting to be a good storyteller. The plot is kind of intriguing. I would call it creative if it didn't remind me of a lot of Japanese animated film plots and of Beauty and the Beast meets Red Riding Hood. It was entertaining enough to make it all the way through while preparing dinners in my kitchen, but just barely. I considered jumping ship several times but didn't want to waste the credit. The book is fine. But I prefer great or brilliant personally. The reader did a good job. That's my opinion.

Much more useful as a physical copy

If you are a practitioner of witchcraft looking for inspiration, do yourself a favor and buy a physical copy of this book. It is very dense with information and you will drive yourself crazy trying to bookmark everything.
