It just got boring and predictable. what else can I say. Really jump the shark in other places. Normally I would listen to an audible twice but not this one.

Characters' personalities flawed

Over all, the story was good except for the luck thing that was always good.

Alice was a bit much. The combining of so many types of characters into one was very rough around the edges.

A nice series spires down

Unfortunately, like most series, this one starts off great but as it progresses, so does it become progressive. I notice as it spirals into wokeness, they quit asking listeners, at the end of the book, to give a review. I had to search to find where I could leave this review. I hope the next book doesn't get worse else I'll swear off this author.

Major flaw in plot

Knowing the Covenant were big on bloodlines and DNA, no one would send a Price girl to infiltrate them. When they checked her blood to verify she's human they would also see how close her DNA is to her Covenant cousins.
Other than that it was a great story.

bullheaded not good stragety

I've read enough similar series to realize the writers who has no understanding of military stragety take the direct brute force approach to any conflict. An AI whose conquered thousand of civilizations would destroy any opponent who regularly uses such a stragety. A simple rotation of a ship along its axis would eliminate an opponent's ability to concentrate fire on one location.

Longest writers block in history

This book started out REAL GOOD. Cooper set a lot of ground work for future books. I would of given it 5 stars. But about 2/3 of the way through the book; it's as if Cooper decided he was done with this series and gave it a shitty ending. Five years later and nothing. Cooper should add a disclaimer to the 1st book of this series that he got bored with it and has no intentions in finishing it.

Tire of the economic ignorance of writers concerning the use of fossil fuels. it's just been in the last 50 years that humanity has developed the technology to move away from fossil fuels. And guess what paved the way for such technology advancement, fossil fuels!

yes, let's put damage people in charge

So let me get this straight, humanity has no qualm putting a known genocidal maniac in charge of 1 million ships. That's like putting Pol Pot in charge of human rights committees in the UN. it kind of jumps the shark. Also for a rescue vessel that can hold 300 people to only have 4 people. you'd have at least a dozen qualified medical personnel and advance equipment for treating people and rescue. Being in hostile space, you'd have a contingency of security. Instead you trounce around the galaxy understaffed and loosing people right and left. definitely amateur hour for this book.

Disappointing

The orator was wrong for this book and was a bit monotone.

Terrible ending.

Made the whole Independent cause look like it was ran by deplorables.

For those of us who were inspired by the message of "wanting to be left alone", this book was written to kill that inspiration.
