Fun. Light Book
Revisado: 04-11-25
I have listened to all of this series. They all have similarities. The story wasn't fantastic but better than some. A light story with the old man and his dog playing their roles was just what I needed after a couple of heavier, suspenseful books. A good vacation type of book.

Historia
Tess Strebel can’t recognize her own face. She can’t recognize her home. Her bedroom is unfamiliar. And she can’t remember the handsome stranger lying next to her in bed. A stranger who claims he’s her husband. Tess reads a letter in her own handwriting, composed during a rare lucid day, explaining her life as it now exists: she was in a terrible car accident one year ago. Every morning, she wakes up unable to remember most of the last decade. Including her own wedding.

Story was way too repetitive. Ending was a bit of a letdown. Overall, an average story.

Very Engaging Book
Revisado: 06-24-23
A bit different from the books I normally listen to, but I needed a break. Throughly enjoyed it. Although none of the people were very likable, but that was an underlying part of the book. Liked how a scene was revisited from another character's point of view frequently. Just a fun read. Looking forward to the author's next book.

A good mystery, although I did correctly guess the culprit a bit before it was revealed. Surprised at the humor frequently mixed in by the brain-damaged patient. I will definitely explore more of this author's books.

Better Than Last Book
Revisado: 04-04-23
Interesting story with a good twist at the end. Much better than the previous book in the series. Although I enjoyed the book, it had a bit more yelling than I thought necessary. At least no one put a fist through a wall in this book! Well worth the credit.

Too much family drama
Revisado: 03-04-23
I really like this series, but this book had way too much disfunctional family drama that distracted from the story. The 2 hot-headed brothers, one of whom seems to put his fist in a wall every book and the other alcholism of the other, has gotten old. Might need to take a break from the series for a while.

Historia
The love-hate relationship of Solomon and Lord continues. Sure, opposites attract, but they argue, too! This time, it all starts with the kidnapping of a pair of trained dolphins from Miami’s Cetacean Park. When one of the ecoterrorists behind the raid turns up dead, his partner in ecocrime is charged with homicide, even though he didn’t pull the trigger. It’s called “felony murder”, and Solomon thinks it’s a bum rap. What he doesn’t count on is his lover and law partner, Victoria Lord, being named a special prosecutor.

Disappointing
Revisado: 01-10-23
I had looked forward to this latest Solomon VS Lord book but was disappointed. I felt there was too much emphasis on Bobby and not enough banter between Steve and Victoria. The use of an FBI helicopter to deliver Bobby to his baseball game was unrealistic to say the least. If you are looking for a book with less emphasis on the courtroom and more on Bobby, you will enjoy this book. Otherwise, you might want to pass on this one.

Certainly Not Worth a Credit
Revisado: 01-02-23
Best thing I can say for this audible book is it was free. However, the first third of the book was so bad that I almost deleted it. In the beginning of the book, Judy quickly developed an unrealistic, strong dislike for her son's new girlfriend, Amber, within minutes of meeting her. Judy's obsession with trying to convince her son that Amber wasn't right for him was ridiculous and just plain boring. And can't Judy figure out what her husband is doing on his frequent "fishing" trips? Eventually, the story did improve a bit only to become predictable. The ending was unbelievable. Who confesses to a major crime when there was no real prompting, especially to someone they so dislike? I haven't read any of K. L. Slater's other books, but I think it might be a while before I try any of them.

Historia
Two women. Many aliases. Meg Williams. Maggie Littleton. Melody Wilde. Different names for the same person, depending on the town, depending on the job. She's a con artist who erases herself to become whoever you need her to be—a college student. A life coach. A real estate agent. Nothing about her is real. She slides alongside you and tells you exactly what you need to hear, and by the time she's done, you've likely lost everything.

Historia
For most of the last hundred years, Biloxi was known for its beaches, resorts, and seafood industry. But it had a darker side. It was also notorious for corruption and vice, everything from gambling, prostitution, bootleg liquor, and drugs to contract killings. The vice was controlled by small cabal of mobsters, many of them rumored to be members of the Dixie Mafia.
