The Sherwood Myths are as varied as the Arthurian, and every so often one comes along and shakes up what we know so we’ll. This is that shake up. Lord of the Saelvatici is a collection of Sherwood myths told from a variety of perspectives, and voices. The tales are often dark in nature, and veer towards the grandiose horror of old gods. I actually had to check is these were taken from an actual manuscript, so I can say I was drawn in immediately to the mythos. The performance of Joanna Swan was awesome. She lends her talent to using a variety of accents, and tones to really drive home the tales. Some of the repetitive text in the beginning is a little jarring; but doesn’t detract from the whole. I think fans of Robin Hood myth, and deep horror lore fans will all get something from this offering.
