Historia
Humankind's relationship with the wolf is the sum of a spectrum of responses ranging from fear to admiration and affection. Lopez's classic, careful study has won praise from a wide range of reviewers and improved the way books on wild animals are written. Of Wolves and Men explores the uneasy interaction between wolves and civilization over the centuries, and the wolf's prominence in our thoughts about wild creatures.

Extraordinary
Revisado: 12-17-22
Unlike any book of any genre I’ve read—& the performance reading added another exceptional dimension of meaningful experience.

Historia
This magnificent novel by one of America's finest writers is the epic of one man's remarkable journey, set in 19th-century America against the background of a vanishing people and a rich way of life. At the age of 12, under the Wind moon, Will is given a horse, a key, and a map, and sent alone into the Indian Nation to run a trading post as a bound boy. It is during this time that he grows into a man, learning, as he does, of the raw power it takes to create a life, to find a home.

Simply extraordinary
Revisado: 07-03-22
New to the writing of Charles Frazier—& perhaps still partly am: Will Patton’s reading & performance created an extraordinary, deeply moving (at times disturbing), & altogether singular experience that I am sure I could not reproduce through my own reading. Sad & awed by the breathtaking lyricism & pathos of Mr. Frazier’s writing.
