Historia
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Ok story, ok performance
Revisado: 11-20-17
Not nearly the futuristic novel that The Martian was. Also, the reader is a woman. For some reason, all the characters came across as female since the reader was female. It was hard to tell who was who. Some of the situations strain credulity a bit. Overall, a fine book, but not one I will listen to over and over.

Historia
Zak George is a new type of dog trainer. His fresh approach puts a strong emphasis on the relationship with the individual dog - informed by breed-specific traits - allowing people to treat the root cause of behavior issues rather than the symptoms and teach their dogs faster without the use of punishments or stress. For the first time, George has distilled all the information from his hundreds of videos into one master guide.

Somewhat idealistic dog training.
Revisado: 10-05-17
According to Zak, you should never use any negative consequences for bad behavior, just wait for some good behavior and reward liberally with plenty of treats. This sounds great in theory, but in real life, corrections need to be made to undesirable behavior or the behavior will continue. Overall, this was not a very good dog training book.

Long winded story about the life and death of a back woods ranger
Revisado: 10-25-16
This book is written in the style that jumps forward and backwards in time, from one person to another. I did learn something about the people who live and work in our national parks, which I do appreciate, but by the end of the book, I was ready for it to be over so I could get on to some other book. It's an interesting book, but not destined to be a classic.

Historia
Russell Gold, a brilliant and dogged investigative reporter at The Wall Street Journal, has spent more than a decade reporting on one of the biggest stories of our time: the spectacular, world-changing rise of "fracking". Recognized as a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize and a recipient of the Gerald Loeb Award for his work, Gold has traveled along the pipelines and into the hubs of this country’s energy infrastructure; he has visited frack sites from Texas to North Dakota; and he has conducted thousands of interviews with engineers and wildcatters, CEOs and roughnecks, environmentalists and politicians.

Fracing, good or bad? Turns out it's both
Revisado: 06-24-16
An informative, entertaining, and balanced report on the natural gas industry in the United States. Russell Gold goes into the background and history of oil and natural gas exploration in the United States, and the technology behind it. He then explores the ramifications of fracing wells, which have had a large impact on the cost and supply of petroleum products, while presenting challenging environmental issues.
