Narrator not as good as 1st novel

This narrator is too monotone. She rushes the the story and lacks the inflection necessary to keep you engrossed so I kept tuning out and having to restart the chapter or backup 30-80 seconds.

Just enough

Being from Alaska, the way the author captures some of the more colorful aspects of the north and its unique people is captivating. This story line is absolutely one of my all time favorites for the simple reason that as an avid reader it isn’t often you find a unique or new concept or spin so I am grateful the story didn’t end in the original encampment and am eagerly waiting to see what Casey and Dalton do with this new adventure that is VERY Alaskan indeed!

I read a lot in this genre and like Kelly Armstrong's style a lot. Though fey stories are out there, this series is fresh and new. I caught myself sneaking to listen while at work and though I'm content with the ending, my heart still roots for Gabriel!
