I made it through 20 chapters after multiple tries. This book, at least the first 20 chapters, isn’t about a top tier prison gang. It’s a about a bunch of Chicano hood rats that get caught up in Chicano hood rat stuff. That the NF is at the top of the food chain is like a constant teaser of bigger stuff to come, but whatever was to come wasn’t worth having to listen to anymore to the “performer” attempting an Hispanic accent. Just a bunch of back and forth between a bunch of wannabe gangsters and their girlfriends. Don’t waste your time.

The stories are well told, but not very well researched. When talking about Ben Siegel, he says, “Siegel was shot in the back of the head in Virginia Hill’s apartment.” This is probably one of the most famous and publicized hits in mob history with pictures. Siegel was in Virginia Hills house and was shot with a rifle through the window multiple times, including the face. When the narrator said that about about the Bugsy hit it was impossible to take anything else said with but a grain of salt.
