I am without words.

I myself am a cult surviver. I myself as a military officer. However, I am not a woman and up until listening to Daniella’s story was ignorant of truly what life is like for so many I have served along side.
This story is almost surreal for me. My life’s story has so many points of convergence that are almost hard to understand.
I will keep this review short by simply saying that I both highly recommend it and feel strongly that it will help people with their own history of abuse.

I truly enjoyed this book. I myself was raised in the very cult that inspired this story. I know the author as the mother of one of my childhood friends. So much truth and personal pain is shared in these pages. Hearing the descriptions at times made me remember things that I have repressed for many, many years. Those with no experience of being raised in or getting involved with such a group might consider this a work of pure fiction. For those of us who lived through it, and were able to escape and create a new life, I feel this story is very valuable. Knowing the shame of being manipulated and brainwashed is also shared by others is priceless because I know I am not alone.

Simply stated, I loved Mike’s book and have listened to it three times now. I am a surviver of the Sea Org and a former staff member at the Gold Base. Mike’s story helped me fill in the blanks of what was happening behind the scenes. My advice to everyone who is still there is that it is never too late to start over. The things we were told about the W.O.G. World are simply untrue. Taking the first step and leaving is the hardest part.

Extreme boredom

I tried to give this book a chance. The performance was decent but the story was simply as waste of time. Nothing but social drama with no notable end in sight.

I am a huge fan of the series and am waiting for the next book. Some of the performances of and accents from R.C. Bray are just a bit off from the last books. All still excellent and a small point. For the record… Team Masters alllll the way.

This story lacks any foundation or build up. I tried and after a few hours just couldn’t. Beyond boring and predictable. Truly hard to listen to.
