Historia
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Historia
"Now order the ranks, and fling wide the banners, for our souls are God's and our bodies the king's, and our swords for Saint George and for England!" With that rousing proclamation, twelve hundred knights ride into battle, accompanied by the stalwart archers known as the White Company. Fueled by their appetite for glory, this motley crew of freebooters stands united in their unswerving devotion to the company commander, Sir Nigel Loring. Short, bald, and extremely nearsighted, Sir Nigel's unprepossessing appearance belies his warrior's heart and his chivalrous nature.

To survive the notorious prison IK-2 and assassinate Russian President Vladimir Petrov, John Dempsey had to become rosomakha, the wolverine. Now, back home in America, he’s trying to put the pieces of his life at Ember back together. But which man returned from Russia—Dempsey, or the wolverine? From the way his teammates look at him, it’s obvious they’re not sure, and neither is he. Meanwhile, Vice President Kelso Jarvis has barely had time to mourn the death of his mentor before a devastating attack reveals a new threat.

Great reader and a good story but…
Revisado: 12-11-24
Guy write great story and the reader was excellent . The need be it by the author or his editors to be force fed DEI is nauseating at times. Gets way out of control and the need to explain and expand upon it is beyond Boring. You wish to make a character make one and let it be and let’s not try to convince me why it’s ok. Just do it. The way it’s done just far to distracting from the story. It becomes the story, good luck with it

Historia
Jo told him the phone call had been about a woman who wanted to have her husband declared dead. Smith thought for a moment and then said, 'Hmm. There must be a few million women in this country who feel like that. I take it her husband's been missing for a while and she's decided it's time to move on. In the absence of a body, which is always a nuisance, she wants Diver and Diver to confirm there's no proof he's alive. And I've told Jason a dozen times I'm not getting involved in anything matrimonial. I have enough trouble sorting out my own relationships.'

Historia
The story opens with the apparently accidental drowning of a sixth form student in the Norfolk countryside. As a matter of routine, or so it seems, the case passes across the desk of Detective Sergeant Smith, recently returned to work after an internal investigation into another case that has led to tensions between officers at Kings Lake police headquarters. As an ex-DCI, Smith could have retired by now, and it is clear that some of his superiors wish that he would do so.

Narrator is one of absolute best
Revisado: 08-11-24
The narrator is hands down one of if not the best of all hundreds of books I’ve listened to.
The story starts off well but then dives head first into the woke politically correct somewhat insulting third act . Maybe that’s necessary to get published now a days it’s just foolish and cheapened what was a good story in this opinion of one who has spent some time in the profession

Historia
The Sick Boys are hiding something from me. They want to pretend like I didn't kill my rapist and they didn't help. But we're not ordinary college students, that much has become clear to me, and I'm growing tired of all of the lies and secrets. Their masks are cracking, and, finally, I'm starting to see the grotesque reality underneath. It's far darker than I ever expected, and it's not enough. They know everything about me, so now it's my turn. I fear nothing. Not them. Not the man that I killed or the people who set me up.

Just doesn’t make sense
Revisado: 06-10-24
Look it’s just wears you down with ridiculousness. The lead is an 18 year old girl who the writer tries to pass off as a 40 year old SpecOps guy. It’s just annoying when they are portrayed as smart and savvy but keep doing very stupid things. If you’re a teenager you’ll love it Over 25 pass on it

Revisado: 02-23-24
How do you read a factual book and mispronounce 90 percent to the Italian American names. Pathetic I’m from RI and know the story and the characters and was appalled at simple names being butchered. Some so bad I had to guess who they actually were. Does anybody listen to this, edit, produce before putting it out
