I would recommend the book to read but not the audio to listen to.

Unfortunately Joyce Meyer's narration of her own book is monotone, boring and puts me to sleep. In contrast, hearing her speak live at conferences or listening to CD's recorded live from her conferences are absolutely fantastic. She's an engaging, funny, lively, dynamic speaker who obviously loves God and has a gift in speaking all things related to Christian living (just not reading them). Practical and full of common sense. I enjoyed reading the book but would never bother listening to her reading it to me again.

What was most disappointing about Joyce Meyer’s story?

Fantastic speaker at conferences but I find her books boring to read and listen to, and don't keep my attention.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointed in the audio. I found the narrator's voice irritating and would never buy an audio with this narrator again no matter how good the content.

Joyce Meyer is a fantastic, engaging, lively speaker at her conferences. Don't write her off because her books may be dull, boring or read in an irritating manner. I would recommend listening to her speaking recorded live at a conference rather than books.

I would recommend this audio to a friend.

What did you like best about this story?

Questions from everyday people (many questions of which I have also wondered about) were addressed and Biblical answers and solutions given.

What about Wayne Shepherd’s performance did you like?

Narrator has a mellow voice, easy to listen to.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I listened to this audio in 20 minute blocks (the length of time it takes me to drive to work) and then was able to ponder the questions asked and Max's response.

Really enjoyed it and will listen again later.

Would you listen to A Gentle Thunder again? Why?

I intend to keep this audio so I can listen to it again and again.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I couldn't listen to the whole book in one sitting...I needed to pause every now and then to ponder and digest what Max had been discussing. Thought provoking, Scripture based and sound Biblical teaching.

Any additional comments?

The narrator's voice I found soothing and easy to listen to. Any future books with this narrator (who is not the author, Max) I wouldn't hesitate to buy and listen to.
