Struggled to finish, due to its length. Very good narration. If you're into fantasy with wizards, dragons, fairies, demons, etc. and you've got the time to devote to it, then I recommend it.

Felt like I was missing something

While I enjoyed this, I felt like came into the middle. I had a hard time getting vested in the characters.
Kheshlars are supposed to be immortal except in battle or from poison. When the mother of Arria and Starlyn falls I'll, their people shun them. Arria turns to black magic (which is illegal) trying to find a cure, it backfires.
On the run, Arria finds a race of beings that resemble in part the dragons of old. She assembles an army of them, with the intent of rescuing her mother and destroying her race.
Starlyn is tracking her sister, to reunite with her, but, what has she become, and is she worthy of forgiveness?

Received this book for free and freely offer this review. **Spoilers**Axel - Has always loved the girl next door, Olive. And the night of the day he finally got her to agree to go out with him, was a night to remember. But, the next day he leaves to pursue a boxing career.
Olive - The bookish girl-next-door, has always loved Axel. But, now that he has started boxing and filled out magnificently, he's out of her reach (or so she thinks). So, when he finally asks her out, she says yes. Their night together is definitely one to remember, for more than one reason. He disappears the next morning, without a word, and so although he tries to contact her, she won't listen and when she finds out she's pregnant, she's even angrier.
Now, Axel is back, can he make it up to Olive after the years in-between and can he become a dad to his daughter?

A fast short listen. But, there is no baby or pregnancy, so how can it be a secret baby romance?
Roy, bike riding bounty hunter, is tracking a neo-Nazi murderer. He meets Cathleen and has other reasons for staying in town.
Cathleen (Cat), personal trainer, is so tired of her sponging cousin, so tired of guys hitting on her. Roy is different, he respects her capabilities and asks her to go with when he leaves town. Will she accept his challenge?

What happened to Terry?

**Spoilers**I received this book from the author and freely offer this review. This is a psychological thriller, dealing with the loss of children.
The Nobles lost their son in an accident and Jessica has been depressed, suicidal and under a doctor's care for a few years, unable to move on. Owen, hoping to get his wife back, accepts a transfer to Florida. What he didn't do (and why would he) was investigate the neighborhood where their new home is. The house next door is abandoned, but, Jessica sees a young boy in the upstairs window. After finding out that the young boy, Terry, who lived in that house disappeared 13 years ago, Jessica is compelled to do some research, and she discovers that the boy she is seeing, is the spitting image of the boy who disappeared. The more she delves, the more she's sure that she is seeing Terry, but, more than one person wants her to stop looking, including her husband. But, finding out what happened to Terry makes her feel more alive than she has in years, but, it just might just get her killed.

When your life sucks, move to a tropical island

Katie Connell's life sucks. Her parents died mysteriously while on vacation, the "love of her life" wants nothing to do with her, and she drinks too much.
She escapes to the island her parents died on, meets a new friend and falls in love with a ruin of a mansion.
Back home, she is assigned the case from hell, flubs it badly, and finds out that the mansion. is hers for the taking.
She chucks it all in and moves to the island. But, if she thinks she only has contractors to deal with, she's in for a rude awakening.

"Alien" love affair?

**Spoilers** I received this free from the author and voluntarily offer this review. This was my introduction to this series. Apparently there is an "alien" race, the Bracadytes, that lives beneath the Earth's surface and a mining company penetrated the boundary between us and them. In so doing, a contagion has been released that is killing the humans.
There exists animosity against the Bracadytes for lives lost, but, some humans, among them a doctor, have gone to Aukrabah, the Bracadytes' home, to help find a cure. As such, some humans have found love amongst the Bracadytes and have married and stayed with them.
Braum, has been staying at the Whitehouse as an ambassador and has seen the Vice President's daughter Josie Reynolds on television, it finds her very attractive. Upon meeting her in person, his attraction increases. Josie, a medical student, has been forbidden by her father from practicing her nursing profession or continuing her studies to become a doctor, due to the contagion. Braum feeling guilty for his life of leisure at the at the Whitehouse has decided to return home, Josie upon hearing this, asks to join him in the hope that the human doctor in Aukrabah can inoculate her so that she may once again practice medicine and help find the cure.
This is Braum's and Josie's story and whether they can succeed against the odds.

A new take on vampires

**Spoilers**Received a free copy from the author and voluntarily offer this review. I concur with one of the other reviewers in that while for the most part the narrator did a good job, some of the transition between characters are not smooth enough and one is not sure who's speaking. A new perspective on vampires After the near death of his father in an auto accident, Alexander's parents want him to once again marry. His first marriage, at their insistence was a disaster and he has no intention of complying this time. But, after they threaten to cut him off financially, he "agrees" to their demands. Vampire marriages are brokered through a marriage bureau and his intent is to either do something or have one of the perspective brides do something to get him banned from the registry. You see, Alexander was once in love and he broke her heart and his own when he was forced into his first marriage and his parents actions also ruined his love's prospects of finding someone else. Little does he know, however, that his former lover now works for the marriage bureau and she has every intention of making him suffer for hurting her all those years ago.

A fast easy HEA

Although there are some discrepancies in the story, they didn't detract from the story. I found the secondary title "A Billionaire Bad Boy Second Chance Mystery Romance" a bit of a misnomer however, as Roy Butler is not a bad boy, this is not what I'd call a mystery and it's only a second chance because the main characters have met before. But, all that being said, if you're looking for a fast, enjoyable HEA romance, you might enjoy this.

From abusive ex to cop?

Natasha shows up for what she hopes is a productive interview leading to a job offer. Instead it's the scene of a murder and now she's a suspect. She finds that her ex Darian is somehow involved and he's threatening her and the cop who discovered her, continues to distrust her. And things continue to go downhill from there. She's threatened, her house is broken into (twice), and she's attracted to the cop, Chase. Can things get any worse?
