A powerful story of hope and perseverance.
Revisado: 04-19-18
My boys have now experienced a glimpse of the life of a refugee, it was naturally a had story for them but an important one that won't Leave them in a hurry. It's a story that will build in the reader compassion for refugees, that will remind them when life gets hard just take the next step, and keep on moving forward, don't give up. The narration by both readers was excellent. Read it with younger children or pre read as it is a true story and as such is a tough read emotionally.

A whimsical relaxing story.
Revisado: 05-31-15
The only complaint it have about this story and a few others in the series is that the author tends to repeat herself in her explain actions on what has taken place previously. Otherwise lovely stories that can be enjoyed by the whole family. It is hard to believe the author does not come from the Lake District, her feel for the area, the descriptions and the historical research she has undertaken all work together to create a totally fitting and delightful read.

Historia
The second part of Peterson's momentous five-volume work on spiritual theology, Eat This Book challenges us to read the Scriptures on their own terms, as God's revelation, and to live them as we read them. With warmth and wisdom Peterson offers greatly needed, down-to-earth counsel on spiritual reading. In these pages he draws readers into a fascinating conversation on the nature of language, the ancient practice of lectio divina, and the role of Scripture translations.

Great book dreadful narrator.
Revisado: 03-21-15
This is the first of Eugene Patterson's books I have read and in regards to the contact it didn't disappoint. The narration I found horribly pompous. I found it really hard to put up with and I thought it so unsuited to the subject of this book. Such a pitty, hopeful someone more in touch with the subject will do another recording.

Excellent summery of Charlotte Masons work.
Revisado: 03-16-15
An excellent book for those wanting to better understand Charlotte Mason's principles of education. It is helpful to have someone from this century discuss these principles after having benifit end from there use in the their own home. Examples on putting the principles to work the current time were helpful.
