Historia
Daniel Petrovich, formerly part of the Department of Defense's infamous Black Flag program, protects a secret buried in the deepest vaults of the Pentagon. Blackmailed into executing one final mission for his previous commanding officer, Daniel's carefully constructed "life" rapidly disintegrates into a relentless federal manhunt - and a "24-style" race against the clock to suppress the shocking truth about his past. To survive, he'll release the darkest side of his concealed identity. A dark side with few boundaries - and even fewer loyalties.

Where's book 6 .... the ending?!
Revisado: 12-23-19
If there is a book 6 which wraps up the series well, this wpuld be a 5 star rated, but, even though I'm drawn into this story and loving it, I am disgusted if book 5 is the actual ending. That turns this entire, great series into a journey to nowhere. I really hopr there is a book 6 coming, because this series is actually great, and should get a high rating if not for the ubrupt "unfinished" feel at the end of book 5.

Historia
Astronauts Jim Parker and Michael Murphy, aboard the space shuttle Charger II, were wrapping up a routine mission. Just prior to re-entry, they encountered a mysterious cloud bank in space and were never heard from again. Two years later, a metal box was unearthed at a construction site in St. Louis. In it was a previously unknown, yet apparently authentic, journal of the historic Lewis and Clark expedition: written by astronaut Jim Parker. Did Parker and Murphy alter history, or save it?

NOT A TIME TRAVEL SCI-FI BOOK!
Revisado: 09-10-19
There are others who commented the same. I read the premise of the first book, not being aware that there are 8 in the series, and thought: "Great, a nice time-travel story".
NOT!
Allow me to say that as a history lesson, it is quite nice. BUT, since I am a little OCD, I could not get myself to NOT listen to the whole series. So I bought and listened to it all, and it was fine, ok, so-so. I was REALLY miffed that this was a cowboy-western story with a clickbaited title and initial premise of time-travel/sci-fi. This should be categorized as history-drama or western.
I did not want to rate it too badly with the star-system, as I don't think it is a terrible series. It is simply "ok", but the fakery of the initial book's premise was extremely disappointing. I have no reason to trust a future book by this author, and possibly even by Audible for miscategorizing this so.

Historia
EarthCore is the company with the technology, the resources, and the guts to go after the mother lode. Young executive Connell Kirkland is the company's driving force, pushing himself and those around him to uncover the massive treasure. But at three miles below the surface, where the rocks are so hot they burn bare skin, something has been waiting for centuries. Waiting...and guarding. Kirkland and EarthCore are about to find out first-hand why this treasure has never been unearthed.

very good story with one cavist

SPOILER WARNING!!!!
DO NOT READ MY REVIEW ANY FURTHER IF YOU WISH TO AVOID SPOILER!!!!
I loved the story, BUT, the whole "everybody pretty-much dies" aspect was disappointing. Once the elevator crashed and the camp was annihilated, one sort-of had hope that, at least, most of the remaining underground characters would make it. yet, two of about 8 or 10 make it out. somewhat of a bummer for me personally.

Historia
Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he's alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. Chances are, though, he won't have time to starve to death. The damaged machinery, unforgiving environment, or plainold "human error" are much more likely to kill him first.

Exceptional!
Revisado: 11-12-14
What did you love best about The Martian?
This had me glued! I often listen to audio books before falling asleep. This book cost me three or four nights' rest! I could not relax and fall asleep, as it was so immersing. I loved the story, loved the science & math, truly a great Sci-Fi read (listen). First thing I did upon completing the book was to come and search fro more books by Andy Weir. What a let-down that this is the only one! Great book. Looking forward to his future/other titles.

This recording - clearly made before the days of caller ID - is made up of actual phone messages left by Jonathan Winters on his friend's answering machine. The result is a tribute to comedy's brightest mind at his improvisational best.

Utterly disappointed
Revisado: 02-10-04
After listening for about 6 to 7 minutes I turned it off out of frustration. Maybe my sense of humor is just vastly different to that of Mr Winters. Sorry to say but I found it extremely boring.
