Historia
If someone were to ask Jasmine Santos to describe the last few years of her life with a single word, it would definitely be a four-letter one. After 17 years - and countless broken bones and broken promises - she knows her window to compete in figure skating is coming to a close. But when the offer of a lifetime comes in from an arrogant idiot she's spent the last decade dreaming about pushing in the way of a moving bus, Jasmine might have to reconsider everything.

Repetitive
Revisado: 11-05-18
I couldn’t finish the story. The main female character was so selfish and stubborn I wanted to scream. If you took out all of the times she said No to someone and the unnecessary inner dialogue over every single detail, it could have been an enjoyable story.
The narrators were great. They just had to work with what they were given.

Not a Favorite

I couldn't finish it. I struggled with purchasing this based on another listeners review. I get it now when they wrote the author tried to put their views and lifestyle onto the reader. It was judgy. No one wants to leave a book feeling judged and inferior. I also have a problem with being halfway through the story and only a day has passed. Not much set up for the M/F to get to know each other.

I Tried.....
Revisado: 04-19-17
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
People who always ask why but never want the answer to the why or decide to ignore they are a horrible person who have bad judgement never growing or developing, just like the main character. People would like this if they enjoy overly described scenes with little flow to a slow moving storyline.
What do you think your next listen will be?
I am not sure, but it won't be this particular author and specifically the Hallows series.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Marguerite Gavin?
I don't think so. She takes breathes at inappropriate time of a sentence. It loses the emotion of the moment.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
I became so frustrated with the main character always asking why this or that happened or why anything at all. In fact it made me so hyper aware of any character in any book asking why about "something" that is happening in the story that I am majorly annoyed.
Any additional comments?
I tried. I really really tried and listened to the first three of these and just can't do it anymore. If it takes more than three books to make a character grow and learn some hard lessons, the character probably won't ever learn. The storyline was a good concept and if the main character had some likeability or glimpses of future likeability then I may have continued on. She is a horrible person who uses and takes from everyone, yet everyone still likes her? I have read reviews of the other books I have not listened to and they offer the same critical opinion of books 4 and on. I honestly don't know how people think these are good, and I listen to some pretty far out stuff. As they say, there is no accounting for taste.

Slow Going
Revisado: 01-29-17
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
The Narrator ....... so deadpan and no emotion.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
She offered no emotion to the character and was monotone.
