The series died for me
Revisado: 12-26-24
With the 4th book I was on the edge, not sure if I was enjoying the story enough to continue, this book killed the series for me. Most of the characters became very whiney and self focused. Many parts felt forced and preachy. It felt awkward to have literal therapy sessions happening, strong characters became weak minded and insecure, somehow saving others became about each individuals personal feelings about themselves, just too much naval gazing. The elegance and creativity that grabbed me in the first 3 books just seemed to go away. This series really doesn't seem like it needs to be 10 books long. It could have been powerfully done in 4 books, but for some reason Mr. Sanderson is really trying to make it stretch, and he's sacrificing good storytelling to do it. Also I have to add "they" being used for single characters gets awkward to read. It takes one out of the story when trying to figure out if one person is doing something or multiple.

I really love her writing style, the reader did a wonderful job, but the overall story fell flat for me. I kept waiting for it to go somewhere interesting and it just never did.

Historia
After years of serving God, pastor and bestselling author Kyle Idleman had a startling revelation: for too long, he had been living as a fan of Jesus; someone who tried to make Christianity seem as appealing, comfortable, and convenient as he possibly could to others. Idleman decided something had to change--he needed to embark on the journey of becoming a completely committed follower of God, not just a fan.

Loved it!

I was so entertained by this narrator. He was able to capture the personalities of many different characters and had a consistently clear voice. The story itself is hilarious. I am a new Wodehouse fan. Some swearing and non-P.C. words of the era. It was interesting to see how the "well-off" used to live and see the world.

Loved it all
Revisado: 03-11-22
I read some reviews that didn't like that the reader changed. so just a heads up, the reader changes based on the character perspective that is being read. for me, I enjoyed all of them and the book itself is just great storytelling. Just like Enders Game, you get to know all of the characters and understand them, for better or worse.
