Historia
In the dusty hills above San Diego, Bob Larsen became America's greatest running coach. Starting with a ragtag group of high school cross country and track runners, Larsen set out on a decades-long quest to find the secret of running impossibly fast, for longer distances than anyone thought possible. Running to the Edge is a riveting account of Larsen's journey, and his quest to discover the unorthodox training secrets that would lead American runners (elite and recreational) to breakthroughs never imagined.

Simply one of the best running books about running

This book won't teach you how to set a PR but it will say far more about those who never give up trying to do so.

Historia
Matt Fitzgerald has already made a name for himself in the endurance-sport community with books like 80/20 Running, How Bad Do You Want It?, and Iron War. He is an accomplished amateur runner, but if he follows the training, nutrition, and lifestyle of an elite runner, just how fast could he go? He is approaching his mid-40s, so the time to do this is now. He at last has the financial means to do nothing but train.

Possibly the best book I have read on running. It won't help your form or your hard runs or even your long slow weekends. this is Chicken soup for the Runners soul, plain and simple.

Read this book
Revisado: 09-12-20
Yes there are so many books on the Trump whitehouse but few on Trump himself and preceding his time in office. Is the author guilty of many things, yes. is he also obviously and repeatedly repentant, also yes. Trump may lose in 2020 but he isn't going to go quietly into the night understanding him and what he is capable of is a necessity in these times.

Revisado: 08-29-20
Yes I knew Trump watched a lot of TV coverage, and occasionally something from Fox was said by him. But this greatly clarified the depth and frequency of where some of the ideas started and how much the Fox diet helps Trump and viewers have a different view of reality.

In this award-winning Audible Studios production, Trevor Noah tells his wild coming-of-age tale during the twilight of apartheid in South Africa. It’s a story that begins with his mother throwing him from a moving van to save him from a potentially fatal dispute with gangsters, then follows the budding comedian’s path to self-discovery through episodes both poignant and comical.

Easily best book I've read this year
Revisado: 05-17-20
I expected a very different book than this is. yes it is sometimes funny but it is far beyond that a look at a part of the world I didn't know anything about beyond Mandela. Trevor is a talented writer far beyond what I had imagined. So excellent as an audio book.

Historia
At first, it looks like a disease. An epidemic that spreads through no known means, driving its victims mad with memories of a life they never lived. But the force that’s sweeping the world is no pathogen. It’s just the first shock wave, unleashed by a stunning discovery - and what’s in jeopardy is not our minds but the very fabric of time itself. In New York City, Detective Barry Sutton is closing in on the truth - and in a remote laboratory, neuroscientist Helena Smith is unaware that she alone holds the key to this mystery...and the tools for fighting back.

Some tricks, tips and tears
Revisado: 04-17-19
As the parent of an almost 9 month old some of this was immediately useful and some I am storing away for years and years from now. Some of it made me cry for joy at parental ingenuity and grace. Often it made me appreciate all my parents did in raising 3 boys. Good for parents to be or with children of any age (even 40).

Historia
Preet Bharara has spent much of his life examining our legal system, pushing to make it better, and prosecuting those looking to subvert it. Bharara believes in our system and knows it must be protected, but to do so, he argues, we must also acknowledge and allow for flaws both in our justice system and in human nature. Bharara uses the many illustrative anecdotes and case histories from his storied, formidable career - the successes as well as the failures - to shed light on the realities of the legal system and the consequences of taking action.

Not as advertised, and that's good
Revisado: 02-21-19
This is much more about how FBI operates from training to all the levels of investigation and oversight then it is specifically about Trump related matters. I think that is a positive and makes it a good read. There is enough to learn about both the happenings to Comey and McCabe if that's your interest but worth reading even if you think you can not learn more than what was reported about this book.
