A very exciting, fast paced story with a lot of twists and turns. I was always waiting for what would gaijin next. I hope there are plans for the other four books in this six book series to be recorded. As of now, I only see the second one on audio.

Solid listen, thought provoking and solid inducement to soul search

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this book but found that I really benefited from hearing concepts that I have become familiar with through listening to the authors podcast or watching their YouTube videos. I’m not perfect and don’t really consider myself a minimalist. But like most topics that start off focusing on one area of life, I found that the topic of ‘stuff’ expanded well beyond the physical items kept in all corners and orifices of a home. The authors vulnerable storytelling in between practical application helped me continue on a journey of exploring how each area of my life is organized. From physical belongings to relationships, even with the sections I didn’t agree on, the book was thought provoking and non-judgmental. I only give it 4 stars because there are some awesome follow up questions and activities that I think may better be tackled when seen on paper, but that could just be me. Overall, funny, thought provoking, insightful and incredibly transparent…this is a must read for anyone who wants to bring about some meaningful change to their life. Or who just may want to hear the incredible journey of two best friends.
