Robin Hobb's mastery of the written word is one that pales in comparison to most fantasy authors. The tale the unwinds in this novel leaves the reader wanting more! It's definitely a must-read!

Skyfalling **** That was amazing!

I have seen a few people placed this book and the first on their DNF list, and I am genuinely confused by that. This book and its themes are so incredibly amazing that I truly wonder if we read the same book. This entry in the series opens the world up so much more and expands on the few small details we learned from the first one. Now, that is not to say that it is perfect. I did find some of the choices characters made to be frustrating, but that is because C.L. Clark wrote amazing characters that I care about! I felt the weight of their words and emotions so much it was as if I became them.
So don't sleep on this amazing series and read it!

Another Masterpiece

I am not sure how to say this... but this is another masterclass of science fiction/fantasy!
picking up directly after the events of the second incredible literary exploration of nautical themes, the Republic of Thieves weaves a tale from past to present, fully enriching the core cast of characters and breathing life into a few absent, yet important ones. I can tell that the world is growing and the mistakes and successes of Locke and Jean will be coming back to haunt them in the next installment.
please don't sleep on this series. Read it now!

What Can I Say

What can I say that is not already said about this series? ....not much, lol. This series is full of political intrigue, magic, monsters, betrayal, mystery, and love. I was gifted the first book (Theft of Swords), and it sat on my TBR list for a bit, and I eventually picked it up. Once I did, I devoured the trilogy. I know that this series is only part of a larger series in the universe, but that does not detract from the amazing quality of these books. I love the quips Hadrian and Royce make back and forth to each other. They seem so natural. Also, there are so many strong female characters in these books that it's hard to pick a favorite.
Do yourself a favor and read this book.

Another Fantastic Addition

This fantastic story adds so much more depth to the characters we have grown to love from the first book. I was already enthralled by the few small details that were mentioned in Theft of Swords but those details grew into such deep, amazing plots that were weaved together masterfully. I truly love the way the world has explained in this book! Do yourself a favor and read this book!

A Fantastic Journey

This is my first foray into Michael J. Sullivan's work, and I am a big fan! I love fantasy novels, and this world felt just as alive as Sanderson, Tad Williams, or Jordan. This series has been on my "need to read" list for a while, and I am glad that I finally read it. Now I just need to start the next in the series. Please do yourself a favor and read this book. Magic, theft, betrayal, beasts, and politics...this books got everything.

Amazing from beginning to end

I had only a small inclination of what this book was about, only finding out about it a few weeks ago, and I was blown away. This story really had me at the edge of my seat from the first few sentences to the epic conclusion. It is lucky for me that the second installment is released in March, and I cannot wait to delve back into this universe. Please, do yourself a favor and read this book.

Heartbreakingly Amazing

I have rarely ever read a space opera that has been so moving. From the very beginning of this series the reader has known where this story goes, but you do not know how the journey unfolds. this entry was simply put, fantastic. do yourself a favor and read this book series. it is a masterclass of science fiction.

Another Awesome Entry

I have seen a few people saying that they were a little hesitant or disappointed about this entry in the series, but I am flummoxed on why. Maybe it has to do with the sailing? I, for one, thought it was simply amazing! It added so much to the series and really opened the world up. There was everything good about the first book and more! :) I truly enjoyed it and can't wait to read the next one. Please do yourself a favor and, if you enjoyed the first one, read this one. You won't be disappointed. :)
