Stan Turner has never handled a murder trial, but when the father of a college girl accused of killing her baby insist he represent her, he reluctantly agrees assuming he can enlist his law professor to help out. His law professor, who is known as "Snake," turns out to be more trouble than he's worth and Stan ends up pretty much on his own. While Stan struggles to find out who actually killed Sarah's baby he is distracted by a wrongful death suit, a religious fanatic known as Doomsayer and an overzealous media. I loved the non-stop action, ingenious plot twists, and the shocking but delightful ending. And, of course, Jeffrey Kafer's reading was smooth and professonal as always.

Dallas attorney Stan Turner has a long history of doing special jobs for the CIA. Unfortunately, he has also accepted their help from time to time. Now the CIA insists he help them prevent the discovery of a top secret project involving aliens and to insure his cooperation and silence they have his son kidnapped and exiled to the alien world. But this isn't Stan's only problem. One of his oldest clients is the victim of embezzlement and his partner, Paula Waters, is arrested on a trip outside the country. A very complex story but one difficult to put down.

I also enjoyed William Timnick's reading of the novel and am looking forward to hearing more from him.

A Frantic Thrill Ride that Just Keeps on Going

This isn't for the faint at heart, but if you like non-stop action you'll love this one. Corte works for a secret U.S. agency that protects people with sensitive information that bad people are trying to procure. In this case Corte is pitted against a ruthless assassin, Henry Loving, and they play a deadly game of hide and seek that will leave you breathless. My only problem with Edge was it just kept on going and going much longer than it needed to.
