Historia
Mella lives in a tiny house in the middle of a dense forest with her mommy and her baby brother, Pete. Sometimes her daddy comes, and with him often the bad man comes, as well. Mella knows that she, her mommy and little brother are a secret family living where nobody knows they are, but she can't remember why that is or why her mommy is chained to the floor. In The Tall Trees is a story told through the eyes of our little hero as she must brave what's out there, lurking in the shadows, to save all that she knows and loves in the world.

Angel broke my heart again...
Revisado: 03-20-24
WOW!!
I loved that this story was read by a British narrator. I think it really hit the mark for the child like voice of Mella. I loved all the narration.
It breaks my heart to know this story was a healing story for the author. Things/sounds/images from her past are parts of this story.
The Tall Trees was written from the voice of the scared Mella, and felt like it to me. I loved that she used the child like innocence to tell this story. I felt her pain, and her struggles, which broke my heart. 😢
Well done Angel! Well done!!

Historia
Sarah is worried. More than just worried. Sarah is terrified. Her young daughter, Emma, hasn't been acting herself lately, and it's getting harder and harder to keep the whole thing under wraps. Especially when Nadine, the nosy neighbor from next door, is starting to suspect something and Sarah's sister, Jess, just shows up unexpectedly, making everything even more difficult for Sarah.

WOW! This story had it ALL! <3
Revisado: 09-18-22
This story had it all. Extreme horror: it started right off with the gory. Then the mild bloody suspense filled horror, that whittled down to a surprising happier ending than I had anticipated (a possible HEA?? you decide).
JUST WOW!! But hold onto your furbabies... *bites nails*
This is my first Angel Van Atta story and it won't be my last! The narrator did a great job with this, and helping build the tension filled thrill ride throughout the story. <3
I'm looking forward to this series. :-)

5 Snarling Sharp Teeth
Revisado: 06-03-22
The walk with Jule on her journey to become more than human was interesting to listen to. I enjoyed the narrator. I enjoyed the story.
This was a great shifter story. Usually you start out knowing they're shifters and it just happens. This takes you through the change from the beginning as Jule learns she's a lycanthrope (werewolf) and then finds her Teeth and fur. Some people are not who you think they are and friendships are broken. This is about Love, Loss, Life, and Awakening. I loved all the emotions this book emitted. I loved that there's a fight with a dragon, and that there were Ravens are in it. ❤ I'm looking forward to the next book.
