But what if the whole thing was a setup from the very beginning? Enjoyed it immensely. The voice of Eddie is excellent! Because I listen to it sporadically, I have to keep trying to remember who is who in the story.

Mickey Haller (Holler) strikes again. Although you know he will eventually win his case, the twists and turns along the way make it a great read (listen).

Not up to Baldacci’s usual standard
Revisado: 09-14-23
This book by David Baldacci wasn’t up to his usual standard. It wasn’t as gripping as his stories usually are. I’m not sure I would read or listen to a follow-up book featuring Mickie.

Not bad
Revisado: 07-21-23
The story was reasonably believable. However there seemed to be too many red herrings and and at no stage was the actual killer a big enough part of the actual story line.

Historia
On Christmas Eve, DCI Mackenzie Jones is called to a shooting at a remote farmhouse. Ralph Mallender believes his father lies dead inside. When three more bodies are discovered, it's clear a festive family gathering has turned into a gruesome tragedy. At first it seems like an open and shut case: a murder suicide committed by Ralph's volatile brother Cameron. Then new evidence makes Mack suspect the man who reported the crime is in fact the perpetrator. But Mack isn't the only one with a stake in the case.

Awful!
Revisado: 02-03-23
This story be Mark Billingham was awful! The story went nowhere from the first ‘page’ to the last. Totally boring. My daughter has just started listening to it and I shall tell her not to bother going any further. She paid for it on my recommendation of Billingham’s stories being excellent. An absolute waste of money. I shall check more carefully before buying another book by him - whether in physical book form or on audio. He is quite entitled to attempt something different (extremely different), but this, for me, completely failed.
