Historia
Socially awkward Chloe Cooper divides her time between dog walking, bartending, caring for her ailing mother, and at a safe distance, watching people and inventing the stories of their lives. Like Chloe’s new neighbors: glamorous influencer Jemma Spengler and Jemma’s husband, Adam, a renowned surgeon. They’re attractive, wealthy, and in a house of open windows, so exposed.

Great story, great narration. Can’t wait to discover more from this author. Picking the right narrator is also important when listening to audio books and this one did a fantastic job.

Everything but how they described the rez
Revisado: 10-07-22
I enjoyed the story but was extremely put off by how you described reservations. They’re not all hopeless pits of despair. The Colville Indian Reservation is where I’m from and it’s a great place with our own government, jobs for our people, good schools for our children and overall amazing tight knit community. Other then your gross negligence in describing reservations, the story was ok

Historia
Some places seem too beautiful to be touched by horror. Summit Lake, nestled in North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains, is that kind of place. But two weeks ago, Becca Eckersley, a first-year law student and daughter of a powerful attorney, was brutally murdered there. Now the town is reeling with grief, and the police are baffled.

The story hits every mark for being a thriller, a great mystery. You know who the killer is then you second guess yourself and then it al just breaks your heart. Fabulous writing.

Let there be light. My name is Calla Price and I'm broken. My pieces are all around me, floating on the wind, even as I desperately try to grasp them. Who is dead? Alive? Insane? What is the truth? I don't know. I do know this: The darkness is strangling me. With every breath, I choke on another lie. My mind has protected me, but that shield will soon be lowered. All will be revealed. Every answer to every question. It's all been leading to this. Don't be afraid. Be terrified.

That was crazy
Revisado: 09-03-22
I really enjoyed the trilogy. The only problem I really had was the portion of the book where it seemed like everything Calla’s phrases repeated 3 times waaaaaay too much. I get it, I know why but it seemed as though there could’ve been a lot less if that and the point would’ve still came across appropriately. Other then that, I enjoyed the story.

Rockstar
Revisado: 06-23-22
Simply put, Mary Kubica is a rockstar. Her stories are interesting, exciting, gripping and emotionally charged til the last word. Brilliantly descriptive so you feel as if you can see what the characters see and experience what they are experiencing. By the end of the book, everything is wrapped up tight with a bow, it’s all come together seamlessly. Personally I can’t wait for more books. Her adroitness for story telling pulls you in almost instantly and keeps you wanting more.

Wow
Revisado: 06-16-22
So I just discovered Mary Kubica a week ago and have downloaded 5 of her books. I’ve made it through three and a half of them and am addicted.. I was addicted after the very first book I listened to. I love the way all her characters come together, how they’re all linked in the end. I love how the stories are fold from different people and their points of view. It keeps it interesting. Can’t wait to download more because I have no doubt in my mind that I’ll listen to my last two books like I’ve listened to the first three, every spare second I have, turning them in even if I just have a couple of minutes, taking a drive of just sitting in my truck just listening for as long as I can, sitting in my truck listening whole day turns to night or night turns to morning, driving into work, taking a shower, stepping outside for a break. I can’t stop, legit feeling like an addiction as I crave the next chapter and the next and the next. Thank you Mary, you’re brilliant..
