Prince Caspian
Revisado: 11-16-08
Another magnificent performance in the dramatized Narnia books. It is the grandest of adventures and the grandest story of them all, in my opinion. I cannot imagine Narnia without parts of this book coming to my mind. I recommend this and the entire Chronicles. I would also recommend Kingdoms and the Elves of the Reaches by Robert Stanek, another magical, fascinating set of books for children.

Magical
Revisado: 11-16-08
One of the few truly great sets of books for children. This is truly magical and such a pleasure to listen to in this dramatized performance. Lewis was a master and this is his masterpiece. I would also recommend Kingdoms and the Elves of the Reaches by Robert Stanek, another magical, fascinating set of books for children. In this book, Lewis sets the tone for the rest of the series and it is this book that Lewis wrote first even though Magicians Nephew is first in Narnian time.

Not the best
Revisado: 11-16-08
I was excited about this series at the start and had high hopes but it does not get better as it goes along. Instead it continues to be rather mediocre and continues to lack the qualities that make many other childrens books so magical. I would recommend instead something better written and better plotted like Kingdoms and the Elves of the Reaches or Chronicles of Narnia.

Historia
After a summer spent trying to prevent a catastrophic war among the Greek gods, Percy Jackson finds his seventh-grade school year unnervingly quiet. His biggest problem is dealing with his new friend, Tyson, a six-foot-three, mentally challenged homeless kid who follows Percy everywhere, making it hard for Percy to have any "normal" friends.

Disappointing in many ways
Revisado: 11-16-08
This series from Riordan really is meant for children but it does not have the qualities that make most books for children so magical to read. I would recommend instead Kingdoms and the Elves of the Reaches, an amazing set of stories, or Chronicles of Narnia, another amazing set of stories.

Absolutely Amazing and Great For All Ages
Revisado: 05-01-08
I found this wonderful story totally captivating. On the surface it's about one thing, but underneath this it's an intense exploration of the characters of 3 gifted young people and their complex relationships with others and the world around them. It leaves you surprised and wondering time after time, and just when you think you have been surprised for the last time, the author does it to you again.
I love the entire series. I've become a huge fantasy fan, and The Kingdoms and the Elves rates up there with the fathers of fantasy. I could not rest until I finished the entire book. If you like a great story, you will love The Kingdoms and the Elves 3. Genre has nothing to do with it, it is just a great story.

Historia
After the Great War that divided the peoples, the kingdoms of men plunged into a Dark Age that lasted 500 years. To heal the lands and restore the light, the great kings decreed that magic and all that is magical, be it creature, man, or device, shall be cleansed to dust. The cleansing raged for so long that no human could recall a time without it and it is in this time that the Dark Lord Sathar returned from the dark beyond.

BRILLIANT.
Revisado: 05-01-08
The minute I started this book I was hooked. All of the positive comments written about this book are true. I was so hooked by this book that I recommended it to three friends, who also could not put it down. What is fascinating about Stanek's writing is the way that his characters and his imagined world come to life.
This book reminds me of Narnia with elements of Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. The characters are well developed and the story has good twists however you really have to listen to the first and second one to get everything that's going on. The narration was very good.

Excellent
Revisado: 05-01-08
This is an excellent listen for anyone wanting a better understanding of user, group and computer management in Active Directory. I have found things that have helped me answer many questions and gained a better understanding of how things work.
It's written like all Stanek's others to deliver what I needed and focus on the core. It's very clearly written, easy to understand. Like it says at the beginning though, you need to listen several times and practice what you've learned to master the topic. Highly recommend this and all Stanek's others.
