I will try not to spoil anything; There were a few things I saw coming. What I didn’t see coming was the ending. Sad things can really be beautiful. My heart is broken, but I loved the book!

I was absolutely enthralled by this book from the very moment it started. This will definitely be on my favorites list. The narrators were so perfect for this book and who they played. 11/10 recommend, and I will be reading more by Mia Sheridan!

Repetition
Revisado: 07-25-24
The story was really interesting. I liked it a lot. My one major complaint is the word “queer”. It has been said at LEAST 57 times. Once, 3 times in the same sentence. Overall neat book, but definitely could have used a proof reader.

This book took me on so many emotional roller coaster rides. It was definitely sickening, but also very moving. Worth the read. My only issue was that I didn’t like the monotone narrator for such an emotional book. It was nice and they have a good voice, but not enough conviction when it needed it. 4/5 ⭐️!

Pretty good

I loved the whole story, up until the end. It was so beautifully detailed and then when the last 30 minutes started, it dropped off and ended so abruptly. I'm a little disappointed, but goof story nevertheless.

Compelling, amazing, loving, work of art.
Revisado: 04-15-21
I remember reading "Petey" when I was in sixth or seventh grade. I remember loving the story and being moved by the entire thing. I was only 12-13 and I didn't have much life experience. Now I am 22 and have actually worked with people who has disabilities, I have in laws who have disabilities and to feel the story in the new mindset I have is...indescribable.
The butterflies I had when I started chapter one to the tears that flowed from the last chapter were intense. My feelings about this book are so powerful, I cannot convey them with words. My heart broke and my feelings were tugged each and every way until the last sentence; The last part is where I felt grateful to be able to read such a beautiful story again that I had read so long ago.
I highly recommend. This book holds a special place in my heart.

I've seen it all.... A boy who planned to be the next school shooter. A patient with OCD whose loved ones really did suffer every time he missed a ritual. A choir boy who claimed he was being molested - not by a priest - but by God Himself. A patient with PTSD who gave me nightmares. A husband and wife who accused each other of abuse, and only one of them was telling the truth.

I absolutely loved this book! It kept me on the edge of my seat! There are so many twists and turns and cliffhangers. I don't think I spotted listening to it from the time I bought to the time the book ended!
