Historia
One man finds himself torn between two cultures in this sweeping tale of frontier life in post–Civil War era Texas. In the years following the American War Between the States, the once vacated military presence in west Texas is on the rise to protect the waves of settlers moving into the region. Living peaceably with the Mescalero Apache, half-breed former military scout Holton Lang promotes the tentative harmony between the US cavalry and the Native American population.

What a great Sunday morning read.
Revisado: 05-29-22
A gratifying adventure that takes you back in time to the struggles of American settlers, Apache Americans, and the raw human experience of fighting for the right to exist in the American West.

Historia
Why do some products capture our attention, while others flop? What makes us engage with certain products out of habit? Is there a pattern underlying how technologies hook us? This audiobook introduces listeners to the "Hooked Model", a four-step process companies use to build customer habits. Through consecutive cycles through the hook, successful products reach their ultimate goal of bringing users back repeatedly - without depending on costly advertising or aggressive messaging.

Great book, wish the narration was a little better.

Run away until they re-record this with new narration.

I could not stomach more than five minutes of this narrator. Going to request a refund. I hope the one-star does not reflect on the author but only the poor choice of narrator. Looking forward to this book overall, though.

Historia
Many of the most successful Web 2.0 companies, including MySpace, YouTube, eBay, and rising stars like Twitter and Flickr, are prime examples of what journalist Adam L. Penenberg calls a "viral loop" - to use the product means having to share it with others. After all, what's the sense of being on Facebook if none of your friends are? The end result is a business that spreads rapidly, scales quickly, and has the promise to create staggering wealth.

Fire the narrator please.

What would have made Viral Loop better?
I would have listened to this whole book if the guy didn't sound like he was reading Clifford the Big Red Dog.
What didn’t you like about Richard Allen’s performance?
The whole time. It's like he doesn't even understand what he's reading. It's just worthless exaggerated inflection for effect.
Any additional comments?
My beef is not with the content. The book has merit, just not this narration.
