Historia
Laura Kinsale presents a second novel by talented new author Elizabeth Kingston. Fair, Bright, and Terrible is the riveting companion to The King's Man. Wales is conquered, and Eluned has lost everything: her country, her husband, her hope. All that remains is vengeance, and she will stop at nothing to have it. When Robert de Lascaux is asked to marry the woman he has loved for eighteen years, he never hesitates. No wealth has ever mattered to him as much as Eluned has.

A rare find!!
Revisado: 05-01-18
It is really rare to find a book about an "older couple" that still has passion, romance and desire. I love historical fiction especially when it is well written and researched. Elizabeth did a marvelous job setting the scene, giving us the history and organizing characters. It was easy to follow which character belonged to which family, sometimes it's easy to get lost. The story really keeps you wanting more with romance, war, betrayal and finally a little revenge.
Nicholas Boulton did an incredible job with all the characters especially Robert de Lascaux, dreamy. At first the female characters sound a little strang having a male voice, but after awhile you don't notice the difference.
Elizabeth Kingston,
Thank you for realizing that writing Romance/ Historical Fiction books with older female characters can have suspense, intrigue and passion. Other authors should take note!
Keep the books coming.
Kind Regards
Your Fan :)
I do recommend reading "A King's Man" first, another gem.
