Well hello to you dear audiobook browser. Now I have your attention it would be rude if I didn't tell you a little about my literary feast. So, here is the thing: is it just me or does anyone else find that adulthood offers no refuge from the unexpected horrors, peculiar lack of physical coordination and sometimes unexplained nudity, that accompanied childhood and adolescence? I am proud to say I have a wealth of awkward experiences - from school days to life as an office temp - and here I offer my 18-year-old self (and I hope you, too, dear listener) some much needed caution and guidance on how to navigate life's rocky path.

This book will take you right out of the adult world and into a silly world filled with laughter and funny sayings. Highly necessary highly recommended. I could not love this book more and I can’t believe it’s been out for more than a decade without me knowing about it.

Unfortunately, Bob Brier says “huge” as “yuge”, exactly like Trump does, which makes me think of the latter every time he says it, which is HELLA TRIGGERING...
But I’m trudging through those parts. I’m hoping once we’re out of the Old Kingdom and through discussing the pyramids, he might not have to say “huge” so many times.

That Julian fellow’s voice kills it

One of the voices, Julian something another, just kills the listening ability. I have to skip over his parts because his voice is so offensive to me and then I have no idea what’s going on and I miss some very interesting bits.
Aside from that, there are one or two people who’s two cents could have been left out for they had nothing to add whatsoever.

read this as a kid and am re-reading through audible as an adult. I love scifi fantasy fiction and this really hits the spot if you liked game of thrones and such
