Diamond City by Astrid Cole is book one in the Diamond City series and I’m so ready for book two. If you like sci-fi, dystopian, dysfunctions family, fantasy, enemies to lovers, strong FMC, political intrigue, multiple POV’s, supernatural, battles, and pizza then you will love this book.

Astrid did a fantastic job with this book. The storyline, plot, and world building were done very well. The characters whether you liked them or hated them were so well written. Sage is my spirit animal! Sage is a badass warrior who is over 100 yrs old. All Sage really wants to do is live her life and open a pizzeria but life has other plans for her. She’s fallen for Damien who is obsessed with her. Sage is a trying to negotiate peace deal between the rebels and the leaders of Diamond city. I love the banter between all of these characters. I don’t think there is a dull moment in the book there’s so much chaos, political intrigue, loyalties that are ever changing, twists and turns you will not want to put this book down. My only complaint is that I was not a fan of the narrator IMO her voice just did not do this book justice!! Other than that I enjoyed this Audible and can’t wait for book 2.

A Tribute of Fire by Sariah Wilson is book one in The Eye of the Goddess series and it was so good!! I have quickly become a big fan of all of her writing. If you like forbidden love, hidden identities, strong FMC, closed door, secrets/betrayals, action packed, romantasy then you will love this book!!

Wilson did an amazing job with her first fantasy book. I did not want to put this book down. This story came in at around 500 pages but it was full of drama, battles, twists and turns, secrets and betrayals. The world building was done so well, it had magic and was influenced by Greek mythology. The characters were written and developed so well. Lia has been training to participate as tribute in Ilion. She must find the eye of the goddess to break the curse that’s been placed on her country. The game changes when her adoptive sister is chosen to escort her on this mission. Now she must not only save her country but also try to keep her sister alive. Along the way she meets Jason, the Ilion sailor she cannot stop thinking about and finds herself drawn to even when she is asleep. This is definitely a must read…I promise you will be as captivated by this book like I was but just know you will be left on a cliffhanger, wanting more!! Thank you to NetGalley, Montlake, and Sariah Wilson for letting me read this book in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions.

Perfect Fit by Claire Gilmore was such a great book!! If you love books best friends brother, no third act breakup, strong FMC with amazing friends, and workplace romance then you will love this book.

Josie Davis is a career woman who built a fashion company called Revenant, which is located in downtown Austin, Texas. She decided to hire a consultant, her crush from high school Will Grant, who was also her ex-best friend’s twin brother.

This is the second book by Gilmore and I’m officially a big fan. The storyline and plot are amazing. The characters are the best. I love the friendships that Josie has with her BFF’s. I loved that this story takes place in Austin, I’m in Houston so this was awesome for me. I like that we got to see what kinda goes on behind the scenes of a fashion business. I just fell in love with this story and these characters I cannot tell you enough to read this story. Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for letting me read this ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions.

Black Heart by Ketley Allison was so good!! I If you like forced proximity, revenge, stalking, dual POV, obsessed MMC, touch her and die, gothic, and mafia romance then you will love this book!

Ketley did an amazing job with the storyline and plot. Layla’s is fighting to stay alive after over hearing something she shouldn’t have and then finding out she’s had a hit put on her. Kaden lost his daughter and has since been out to find everyone who was involved. He is possessive and protective of Layla and will do anything to her keep her alive. The cliffhanger left me in shock and my mouth open going…what just happened. The story is a perfect mix of slow-burn romance, drama, angst, spice, suspense, emotions, twists and turns, that will keep you hooked from the very first page. Hannah Chiclana as Layla and Wesley Mercer as Kaden did an amazing job with narration. They did an amazing job be becoming these characters. You HAVE to listen to this audiobook and I can’t wait to find out what happens in the next book.

Dear Rosie by S.J. Tilly is book two in the Love Letters series. I love this series!! If you like childhood friends to strangers to lovers, millionaire, curvy FMC, retired football player, forced proximity, dual POV, second chance romance then you will love this book.

I LOVE this book and it was an emotional rollercoaster ride. Tilly has a way with her words and her stories that just draw you in. It’s like you are going on this journey with Nate and Rosie, you feel everything they feel. The way he was so protective of her even as they were kids. Then the way he became so protective of her when he remembered who she was. He was going to make sure no one would ever hurt her again. The letters she wrote him were heartbreaking. I don’t want to give anything away so I’ll stop. I cannot recommend this book and audiobook enough. AMAZING!!

Ever the Same by Steffanie Blais is book three in the Men of Sierra Falls series. If you like best friends to lovers, childhood friends, football, dual POV, and second chance romance then you will love this book.

Callan and Colby met when they were around 6 or 7. They were in a hospital where Callan’s older brother Nolan was getting treatment for cancer and Colby’s little sister James was born. They were inseparable after that until life got in the way.

In this story Steffanie broke my heart several times and waited until the end to put it back together. She did such a great job with this storyline and plot. I thought she did such an amazing job with the characters and capturing young love and heartbreak. My heart broke for Callan and in the same breath I was so mad at him. I loved when Marcus called him out for treating Colby the way he was. Colby was so strong and I love how she never gave up and her loyalty never wavered. Marcus is the best!! My favorite scene is the escape room…I’d suffer from PTSD after that lol. I’m so glad I was given the chance to listen to this audiobook. Ava Erickson and Gideon Frost did an amazing job with the narration and capturing all of the emotions. Thank you Steffanie Blais for letting me listen to this audiobook.

Love Me by Tiffany Patterson is book two in the Townsend Legacy series. I went into this book not knowing what it was about and finished this audiobook loving it so much. If you like childhood friends to lovers, chronic illness representation, emotional scars, found family, best friends, mental health rep, BDSM, he falls first, touch her and die, possessive MMC, then you will love this book.

Diego and Monique have been best friends since they were kids, they even (as their parents put it) have their own language. Monique suffers from diabetes and the glucose monitor that’s on her arm is programmed to her phone, Diego takes it upon himself to program it to his phone as well to keep an eye on her numbers. Monique was born out of SA, once she found out it changed her life and the way she saw herself. Her stepfather raised her and loved her like she was his own, never making her feel like she was not his. Diego was born out of an affair. He never cared for his bio father, his father never made him feel like he was good enough to be his kid. His step father loved and treated him like Diego was his kid and never made him feel he wasn’t. They know each other so well and their chemistry between these two is off the charts. I love how Diego will do anything for Monique or hurt anyone who hurts her no matter the consequences.

I enjoyed this story so much, Tiffany did such an amazing job with the storylines and plot. I feel the characters were done so well, the parents, especially their dads were amazing. The dads had me laughing. The narrators J. Shani Michaels and Sean Crisden did such an amazing job they were Diego and Monique. I could not stop listening to this audiobook and it had me hooked from the beginning. Thank you to Wordsmith Publicity and Tiffany Patterson for letting me listen to this audiobook in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions.

Songlight by Moira Buffini is book one in the Torch Trilogy. If you like fantasy, dystopian, YA, romance, told in multiple POV’s then you will love this book!!

The story follows 2 young women who are Songlights Elsa (Lark) and Kaira (Nightingale), who can communicate telepathically. Unfortunately, they have to hide their identity because it is forbidden to be a Songlight or unhuman as they are also called, they are either enslaved or used as Sirens. Elsa is in love with Rye who is also a Songlight. Rye gets found out by Elsa’s brother Rye, but to protect her he lies and pays the price. I thought Piper was a coward! Swan was captured Kite and he is AWFUL to her. She is so strong but also broken from being held against her will.

I thought the storyline and plot were really good. I liked the world building and thought the story was different from anything I’ve read. This takes place in a dystopian world where women are expected to be married, you are not allowed to who you want to love, you are expected to hate the enemy even though they are amongst you. It’s hard to believe that this is a YA it was so good. There is so much to this book, I read it and then went and listened to the audiobook. Listening to them sing was so beautiful!! I don’t want to say too much but you should go read this book because it is so worth the read and a listen. I cannot wait for book two since this one left us on a cliffhanger.

Sunderworld: The Extraordinary Disappointments of Leopold Berry by Ransom Riggs is book one in the Sunderworld series. I enjoyed this book so much!!

Leopold Berry is 17yo, his mom passed away 5 years ago and he is still struggling. His father seems to think and lets Larry know he is a disappointment and Larry does is good enough. He is broken and just trying to figure out his place in the world. Trying to hold onto the memory of his mom he finds some VHS tapes of a 1990s fantasy TV show called Max's Adventures in Sunderworld and watches them obsessively. While awake he starts seeing characters from the show. But not everyone around him is seeing what he sees.

I feel like the plot and storyline were so well done. The world building and magic had me hooked I could see it playing like a movie in my head. I felt like all of the characters they were so well written. I enjoyed the mystery and finding the clues Larry’s mom left for him. I loved watching Larry learn more about himself and that he was not the disappointment. This is my first book by Ransom Riggs and I cannot only wait to read more of his books, but I cannot wait for book two in the Sunderland series. Thank you to Ransom Riggs, Penguin Group and Dutton Books for Young Readers, and NetGalley for letting me read the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinion.

The Keeper of Stars by Buck Turner was so fantastically good!! If you like closed door, small town, he falls first, dual timeline, second chance romance then you will love this book!!

This story was so well written and so very sweet. The characters were so well written. This story not only captured my attention from the beginning but it also captured my heart by the end. Ellie never gave up on her dreams for being an astronomy teacher while never wanting to give up her love for Jack. Jack loved Ellie unconditionally. He made something of himself went to the military and wrote a book. The author takes through a love story that though it wasn’t perfect their lifetime. Read this book it will capture your heart.
