Best thing I needed to refocus
Revisado: 11-11-24
I loved the way Dr. Pelz empowers the reader to take on this seemingly big challenge of fasting with protocols and guidelines that are easy to implement. Knowledge of foods is something I have been missing in my fasting along with learning to fast with my cycle! I genuinely could feel my cortisol levels lowering as I loosened up my fasting belt regimen from one meal a day to adhering to my body. Another step on the path to knowing my body, knowing myself more. Thank you Dr. Pelz!!!!! Reading Eat Like a Girl next :)

Historia
Using a comparison group of adults who grew up in the same communities but whose parents never divorced, Wallerstein shows how adult children of divorce essentially view life differently from their peers in intact homes, and also sheds light on the question that so many parents confront: whether to stay unhappily married or to divorce. This book is a landmark cultural event that will change the way all of us view divorce.

I am not alone
Revisado: 05-29-24
I chose this book because of a TikTok reference. I needed to know about myself, being a child of divorce that finalized when I was 5, I thought I would discover stats about me. But what I found out is that there is so much more about my personality that I didn’t know was due to my parent’s divorce. They way I go about life, talking to others, and how I think about myself. And the best part that I wasn’t expecting was identifying with millions of other souls in this world whom I don’t know but we may share similar characteristics due to being children of divorce. Now I can look at myself more objectively and truly say- I’m excited for therapy. Thank you for writing this book and doing the study.

Good info
Revisado: 02-08-23
The podcast was excellent in telling information and staying relevant. This has made me a fan of Dr. McMillan and I am now going to listen to the other podcasts she has. I have been researching health and diet for a while and I was able to learn more and new info here! I wanted a list of good brain foods and the doc did not disappoint!

I needed this book
Revisado: 10-18-21
Dr. Price helped me understand that all the negative feelings I have harbored from quitting my chosen career in early 2019 are and were valid. I am valid in embracing my “laziness”, yet the book helps me to pause and reflect on why am I feeling less-than or lazy. What a fantastic read! Well done, Dr.!
